Advice on Infrastructure Aspects. Lead Infrastructure Demand Assessment. Advice on Regional Spatial Strategies. Prepare Infrastructure Investment Plan. Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess the viability of proposed infrastructure projects. Review and Advise revisions related to Infrastructure. Attending meetings as and when required.

Project Description:

Cox's Bazar is globally renowned for its breathtaking miles of golden sands, towering cliffs, surfing waves, and rare conch shells. The region's vibrant economic, social, and cultural activities are complemented by its beautiful mosques, colorful pagodas, and Buddhist temples, making it a magnet for both local and international visitors.

This project, a collaborative effort by the Government of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Army, and Celltron, seeks to develop a comprehensive master plan for the sustainable development of Cox's Bazar. The plan aligns with the government's vision for regional development and its commitment to enhancing national tourism infrastructure. It will take a holistic approach, meticulously considering the intricate interplay between Cox's Bazar's unique ecological environment, existing industries, natural resources, rich cultural heritage, and existing infrastructure and assets.

Under the leadership of the Government of Bangladesh, the project aims to create synergies between various governmental agencies and stakeholders to ensure an integrated and cohesive development strategy. Through a multifaceted analysis, the master plan will identify key areas for growth and development, while ensuring the long-term preservation of the region's natural beauty and ecological balance.
This initiative underscores the government's dedication to promoting sustainable development and enhancing the living standards of local communities, ultimately contributing to the nation's socio-economic progress.

Project Scope:

The project aims to develop a detailed master plan for the sustainable development of Cox's Bazar, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure. Key deliverables include assessing socio-economic, environmental, and infrastructure conditions; inventorying natural resources; analyzing industries and livelihoods; preserving cultural heritage; mapping current infrastructure and identifying development needs; formulating sustainable strategies focusing on infrastructure resilience and environmental impact; outlining an implementation framework; and addressing additional elements critical to project success. This integrated approach ensures infrastructure plays a central role in promoting sustainable growth and resilience in Cox's Bazar.

Objectives:
-Enhance attractiveness through improved transportation infrastructure, smart city technologies, and green buildings for sustainable growth and enhanced quality of life.
-Develop cultural infrastructure, foster public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects, and enhance resilience to attract businesses and enrich the visitor experience.
-Expand digital connectivity infrastructure, integrate urban renewal efforts, and support economic development through infrastructure improvements for long-term competitiveness and appeal.

Qualification Criteria
-Should have a Master’s Degree in Infrastructure Planning/Engineer or other related technical discipline.
-Should have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design and development of infrastructure of similar magnitude and nature.
