In CEBU - High-End Film Editor / On-Set Assistant Editor / DIT

Location: Cebu, Philippines

Fil-Am Films is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, high-end film editor who can work with us directly on set in Cebu during production.

This is not a remote-only post-production job. We need someone physically present with the production team, or close to base camp, every filming day to organize footage, sync audio, prepare timelines, and assemble scenes daily so the director can review the footage during the shoot.
We are looking for someone who can support the movie during production and potentially edit the full feature film after the shoot.

Main Responsibilities
Be available in Cebu for all required shoot days from June 22 through July 4
Receive footage from camera and sound departments daily
Organize, label, and back up all footage properly
Sync audio and video
Prepare timelines/sequences in Final Cut Pro X and/or DaVinci Resolve
Assemble rough scenes from the previous day’s footage
Deliver daily reviewable scene assemblies/dailies for the director
Flag any missing shots, technical issues, continuity problems, or unusable footage as early as possible
Maintain clean project files and organized drive structure
Assist with exports, backups, and handoff to the main post-production workflow
Potentially continue after production as the full feature film editor

Important Expectation
The purpose of this role is to help us review the movie while we are still filming. We need to see assembled scenes or dailies during production, not only after the shoot is finished.
If a scene has technical issues, missing coverage, audio problems, or performance concerns, we need to know while we still have the cast, crew, and location available.

Required Skills
Strong experience editing narrative films, trailers, or cinematic content
Must know Final Cut Pro X
Must know DaVinci Resolve
Experience syncing audio and video
Experience organizing large amounts of footage
Ability to create rough scene assemblies quickly
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work under production pressure
Good communication with director and production team

DIT / data wrangling experience
Color grading experience
Sound cleanup experience
Trailer editing experience
Ability to continue as full editor after production

Schedule Requirement
You must be available in Cebu during the production dates. This role requires daily presence or immediate availability near base camp.
