POSITION: VIRTUAL IT/CYBER SECURITY OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and implementing the organization's cyber security and IT strategy and ensuring that information systems and infrastructure are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring that technologies and processes align with business goals and cyber security standards.
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager, CEO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CYBER SECURITY SPECIALIST:
?Cyber security Strategy and Planning:
•Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and objectives. Identify current and emerging cyber security threats and develop proactive measures to safeguard the organization's assets.

•Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses in the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize the impact of security breaches.

•Promote cyber security awareness throughout the organization through training programs and communication initiatives. Foster a culture of security consciousness among employees and stakeholders.

•Assess and manage cyber security risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers. Establish security requirements and standards for vendor contracts and monitor compliance.
?Leadership and Collaboration:
•Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the cyber security team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Collaborate with senior management, IT consultants, legal, and other departments to align cyber security initiatives with business objectives.
IT SPECIALIST:
? System Maintenance and Support:
?Monitor and maintain EHR systems and other clinical software applications. Remotely troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.
•User Support and Training:
?Provide technical support to clinical and administrative staff. Conduct training sessions on EHR usage, new software implementations, and technology best practices. Develop user manuals and documentation for staff reference.
•Data Management and Security:
?Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements regarding patient data security and privacy. Monitor access controls and user permissions to safeguard sensitive information. Assist in data reporting and analytics to support clinical decision-making.
•Collaboration and Communication:
?Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to identify technology needs and solutions. Collaborate with external vendors and IT teams to implement new technologies or upgrades. Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and inquiries.
•Network Management:
•Oversee remotely the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and peripherals. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
•Project Management:
?Participate in technology implementation projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Assist in the development of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
•Continuous Improvement:
?Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to healthcare IT. Recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
