We are a U.S.-based IT and AI consulting firm serving small-to-medium businesses across the nation. We are growing and need a reliable, experienced IT Support Specialist to join our managed services team. You will be working directly on real client environments, so you need to think on your feet, communicate clearly with non-technical business owners, and know your tools without needing to be walked through them.
About the Role
This is a full-time remote position supporting U.S. clients primarily during Eastern business hours. You will handle Tier 1–2 support across a mix of cloud and on-premise environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, administering on-premise Active Directory including Group Policy and OU structure, configuring and supporting VPN connections for remote workforce environments, and providing general networking support covering DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and connectivity issues. You will also support AWS environments at a working level including EC2, IAM, and VPC basics, administer Microsoft 365 across Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint, and assist with DigitalOcean and Linux server environments used in client deployments. VoIP and FreePBX support is a plus. You are expected to document everything and communicate resolution clearly to clients without burying them in technical jargon.
What We're Looking For
You should have at least two years of hands-on experience in IT support or systems administration with direct exposure to Azure AD, Active Directory, VPN setup and troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365 administration. A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals is non-negotiable. Experience with AWS, PowerShell scripting, Linux server management, or FreePBX is a strong advantage but not required. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft AZ-104 are a plus. Most importantly, you need to be self-directed — we are not looking for someone who needs constant supervision. You should be able to take a problem, own it, and close it.
