Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable House Rental Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vacation rental property in the Keys. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience while maximizing occupancy and maintaining the property’s reputation. As a small, dedicated team, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the rental process from start to finish. The role requires someone with excellent communication skills, strong customer service experience, and a high sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, oversee marketing, guest communication, bookings, customer reviews, and address any issues or claims that arise.
Responsibilities:
Guest Management & Communication:
Respond to guest inquiries, bookings, and messages promptly, ensuring an exceptional level of customer service.
Handle guest complaints, special requests, refunds, and issues with professionalism and urgency.
Ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process and address any guest concerns during their stay.
Marketing & Advertising:
Manage property listings on various short-term rental platforms (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO) with accurate, up-to-date information.
Ensure the property is properly advertised, utilizing effective strategies to increase bookings and optimize occupancy rates.
Respond to and manage online reviews, striving for positive feedback and addressing any issues raised.
Booking Management:
Oversee the booking calendar to ensure the property is fully booked.
Confirm reservations, manage guest communications, and ensure accurate documentation and records of all transactions.
Operations & Property Oversight:
Coordinate and oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and any other operational tasks.
Monitor the property to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness for incoming guests.
Keep track of any claims or damages and follow up as needed.
Administrative & Reporting:
Handle all administrative tasks related to the property, including payment processing, refunds, and bookkeeping.
Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, bookings, and maintenance requests.
Report regularly on occupancy rates, financials, and guest feedback.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience managing short-term rentals, vacation homes, or in a customer service role related to hospitality is required.
Communication: Perfect fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer Service: Proven ability to manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts or issues effectively.
Technology: Familiarity with rental management platforms (e.g., Odoo, BambooHR, Airbnb, VRBO, etc.).
Self-Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently with little supervision.
Sense of Urgency: Ability to act quickly and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve guest or operational issues as they arise.
Availability: Must be available to respond to guests and manage the rental during all hours of the day, with the flexibility to work split shifts (16 hours/day coverage).
Compensation:
Base Salary: Competitive starting salary based on experience.
Performance Bonuses: Additional income based on property occupancy, customer satisfaction, and successful handling of issues (e.g., complaints, claims, reviews, etc.).
