ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Graphic & Product Packaging Designer, you will be an integral part of our creative team, responsible for crafting visually stunning and effective packaging designs that enhance the overall product experience. Your role involves translating brand identity and marketing objectives into compelling and functional packaging solutions. From conceptualization to final production, you will play a key role in ensuring our products stand out on shelves and resonate with our target audience.

This is a business critical role and one that will deliver strong administrative expertise across a range of activities, leverage technology to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness and participate in a broad range of reporting and coordination duties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Conceptualization and Design:
-Develop creative and impactful packaging concepts that align with brand guidelines and product positioning.
-Design packaging solutions for a range of products, considering factors such as size, shape, and materials.

Brand Alignment:
-Ensure packaging designs reflect and reinforce the brand's visual identity and messaging.
-Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate product and brand messaging into packaging designs.

Technical Proficiency:
-Utilize industry-standard design software for packaging design and prepress preparation.
-Create dielines and specifications for print production, ensuring designs meet technical requirements.

Market Research:
-Stay informed about industry trends, competitor packaging, and consumer preferences.
-Incorporate market insights into design decisions to maintain a competitive edge.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Work closely with product development, marketing, and production teams to understand product requirements and constraints.
-Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of packaging designs.

Prototyping and Testing:
-Develop prototypes and mock-ups for testing and evaluation.
-Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results to optimize visual and functional aspects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Technical Expertise

· A relevant bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Graphics Design or other related field.
· A minimum of 1 years recent experience in similar position designing for both print and digital
OR
· A minimum of 3 years recent experience in similar position designing for both print and digital
AND

· Proficient working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
· Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
· Proficient in use of Canva or other similar online editing software.
· Impeccable crafting skills
· Ability to showcase a strong creative portfolio
· Experience in a global business environment
· Experience in a start-up environment.
· Interest in Medical Device / IVD

Circumstances

· Fluent in English (C2 or above)

Technology Setup

In addition to the above, you must also have the appropriate technology system & software in place as below:

· Internet not lower than 10 MBPS
· Laptop or PC with at least Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM (or equivalent)
· Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite
· Noise cancellation headset & a webcam
