JOB OVERVIEW

Graphic Designer (Vehicle Wrap & Production Design)
Remote | VA / Contractor Arrangement

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing UK-based vehicle graphics and branding company specialising in commercial vehicle wraps, fleet branding, and large-format print production.

The business is focused on delivering premium-quality work, exceptional client service, and building a long-term presence within the transport and fleet sectors. Alongside commercial growth, the company is also developing sustainability-focused initiatives within the vehicle wrapping industry.

This is a technical and detail-focused graphic design role supporting both production and client-facing operations.

You will work closely with the founder and production team to take projects from initial client brief through to final print-ready artwork.

This is not standard social media or marketing design work. Files must be accurate, organised, and prepared correctly for real-world print and installation.

Vehicle wrap experience is beneficial, but candidates with strong Adobe Illustrator skills and willingness to learn production workflows are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Wrap Design
Create professional client sign-off drawings for commercial vehicle wraps
Design using client briefs, brand guidelines, and reference imagery
Develop visually strong and commercially effective vehicle graphics
Revise and refine artwork based on client and internal feedback
Maintain consistently high design standards across all projects

Print-Ready File Production
Convert approved artwork into production-ready print files
Prepare files for large-format printing and vinyl cutting
Set up correct bleed, safe zones, crop marks, and CMYK colour profiles
Create organised, layered Adobe Illustrator files for production use
Ensure artwork works effectively for physical application, not just on-screen appearance

Documentation & SOP Support
Create Scope of Work documents using existing templates
Assist with creation and maintenance of SOP documentation
Keep documentation organised, consistent, and on-brand
Support internal process improvements as the business scales

File & Workflow Management
Maintain organised folder structures and file naming systems
Manage files through Google Drive and internal workflows
Coordinate with production staff to ensure jobs are ready for print
Flag missing information or technical issues early

Communication & Collaboration
Communicate clearly with the founder and internal production team
Ask questions when briefs or specifications are unclear
Provide updates on workload and project progress
Handle revisions and feedback professionally

Tools & Systems
Adobe Illustrator (primary design tool)
Adobe InDesign
Google Drive
CRM/project management systems (training provided if needed)

Essential Skills & Experience
Strong Adobe Illustrator experience
Experience preparing print-ready artwork
Good understanding of layout, typography, and branding
Strong attention to detail and file organisation
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Reliable internet connection and remote work setup

Preferred Experience
Vehicle wrap or signage design experience
Large-format print production knowledge
Experience with vinyl cutting or plotter workflows
Knowledge of print specifications and production processes

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:
Works accurately and takes pride in detail
Communicates clearly and asks questions when needed
Can manage their workload without constant supervision
Is organised with files, folders, and workflows
Learns quickly and adapts to technical processes
Is reliable, proactive, and solution-focused
