The Role
We're looking for a Styleframe Designer — someone who can take a storyboard and define the visual direction of a 2D motion graphics video through polished, production-ready styleframes. This is a design and illustration role, not a motion role. You'll establish the look, feel, color, composition, and illustration style across frames that our motion designers then bring to life. Illustration ability is a must — many of our projects require custom illustrated elements (characters, environments, icons, scene compositions) that go beyond stock assets and template work.
What You'll Work On
• 2D video styleframes and storyboards for motion graphics projects (explainers, promos, brand videos, etc.)
• Social Media Graphics (images, ads, etc.)
• Brand Kits & Logos
• Presentations & Pitch Decks
• One-Pagers & Infographics
• Blog Images & Covers
• Video Thumbnails & Event Banners
• Landing Page Designs & Moodboards
• Website UI Components & Iconography
• Marketing Materials & Portfolio Posts
…and more as our brand and client needs evolve
Key Responsibilities
• Design Production
- Design 2D styleframes that set visual direction for motion graphics videos (explainers, promos, brand videos, etc.).
- Illustrate custom scenes, characters, environments, and graphic elements as needed per project.
- Interpret storyboards and creative briefs to develop frames that are on-brand and production-ready for motion.
- Develop supporting visuals for both client projects and our internal brands.
- Maintain structured file management and naming conventions for organized collaboration.
• Project & Workflow Management
- Manage your production queue of tasks, delivering on time or communicating proactively if delays arise.
- Juggle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.
• Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with our motion designers so your styleframes translate cleanly into animation.
- Collaborate with our strategic internal team to understand creative briefings, goals, and visual direction.
- Offer expert design insights to elevate each project's creative output.
- Remain available on
• Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Embrace constructive feedback and perform revisions to meet or exceed quality standards.
- Commit to always learning and refining design techniques, staying updated on industry developments.
• Reporting & Process Adherence
- Log daily task progress (time spent, status updates, etc.).
- Provide concise end-of-day updates to the team.
- Uphold our internal processes and suggest improvements as the company grows.
Qualifications
• 2-3 years of experience in graphic design with a focus on styleframe design for motion graphics.
• Strong illustration skills — you can draw and design original scenes, not just arrange pre-made elements.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
• Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory, composition).
• Proven experience crafting brand and marketing assets.
• Good verbal and excellent written communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated high agency person with a commitment to excellence that takes pride in their work.
• Required: 2D styleframe design experience for motion graphics videos (explainers, promos, etc.).
• Required: Illustration ability — custom characters, scenes, environments, or graphic elements.
• Bonus: Motion Graphics or Animation experience.
• Bonus: Web design experience (responsive layouts, UI components, site mockups).
• Bonus: Product design experience (interface design, user flows, prototyping).
• Bonus: Familiarity with Web3, AI, SaaS, or other emerging industries.
Portfolio Requirement
Your portfolio must include styleframes you've designed for motion graphics projects. Applications without styleframe examples will not be considered.
Values
• Accountability: Take ownership of your work and follow through on deadlines.
• Impactful: Create designs that drive real results and leave a lasting impression.
• Innovator: Push boundaries with creative ideas and fresh design approaches.
• Attention to detail: Every design decision, from spacing to typography, is intentional.
• Communicative: Stay responsive, give and receive constructive feedback, and communicate with clarity.
Interview Process (If selected)
1. Complete a short online skill test
2. Complete a simple creative test task (including styleframe creation)
3. Interview with the founders
How to Apply
Send your portfolio, resume, and a brief message about why you'd be a great fit. Your portfolio must include styleframes you've designed for motion graphics projects — this is required to be considered. Beyond styleframes, include work that shows your range: illustration, branding, social media graphics, web designs, or anything else that demonstrates your skillset.
