Luna N17 Inc. is dedicated to empowering businesses across various industries—including trucking, administrative management, landscaping, assisted living, and real estate—to successfully secure high-value government contracts. We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Government Contracts Specialist to join our team and guide our clients through the complexities of government procurement processes.
Position Overview:
The Government Contracts Specialist will be responsible for identifying lucrative government contract opportunities and ensuring that client businesses meet all necessary qualifications and compliance standards. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating registrations, certifications, proposal preparations, and maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Opportunity Identification:
• Conduct thorough market research to locate high-value government contract opportunities suitable for client businesses.
• Utilize resources such as the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) to identify potential contracts.
• Compliance and Registration:
• Ensure client businesses are registered in the System for Award Management (
• Assist in obtaining necessary certifications, including SBA, Women-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a) Business Development, and HUBZone certifications.
• Verify that businesses possess appropriate NAICS codes relevant to their services.
• Facilitate the acquisition of a DUNS number for each client.
• Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other pertinent regulations.
• Documentation and Proposal Development:
• Develop clear, professional, and compelling capability statements that highlight clients’ skills, experience, and past performance.
• Write competitive and compliant proposals in response to solicitations such as Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Invitations for Bid (IFB).
• Guide clients through the preparation and submission of bids.
• Networking and Relationship Building:
• Monitor federal business opportunities on
• Identify set-aside contracts reserved for small or certified businesses.
• Seek subcontracting opportunities with larger prime contractors to help clients gain experience.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and prime contractors.
• Additional Support:
• Assist clients in applying for General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contracts to streamline bidding on recurring government projects.
• Support clients in enhancing their online presence, including website development and social media engagement.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in government contracting, procurement, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of government registration and certification processes.
• Familiarity with
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, persuasive, and compliant proposals.
• Strong research skills to identify contract opportunities and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with GSA Schedule contract applications is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a strong drive to achieve clients’ business goals.
• Experience in building and enhancing online business presence is a plus.
