JOB OVERVIEW

Project Overview: Google Analytics Setup & Documentation for Marketing Website

This is a project based role.

We are looking for a Google Analytics expert to properly configure and organize Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for our marketing website so that we can accurately measure marketing performance, visitor behavior, and lead generation. The hired contractor will also produce clear documentation so that the team can easily pull reports and update tracking in the future.

Scope of Work
1. Review your marketing website setup to determine:
2. Best GA4 integration approach (direct install or via Google Tag Manager).
3. Key marketing events and conversions to track (contact form submissions, button clicks, downloads, newsletter signups, outbound link clicks, etc.).
4. Assess marketing attribution needs (e.g., Google Ads, social campaigns).
5. Assess Data privacy requirements (cookie consent compliance: GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

B.Google Analytics Setup
1. Create or verify Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property for the marketing website.
2. Add GA4 tracking code or configure via Google Tag Manager for flexibility.
3. Set up event tracking for:
Contact form submissions.
Newsletter signups.
Outbound link clicks.
Configure conversion tracking for key marketing goals.
Set up UTM tracking best practices for marketing campaigns.
Link Google Ads (if applicable) for conversion reporting.

C. Data Verification & Testing
1. Test that all events are firing correctly.
2. Verify real-time tracking in GA4.
3. Confirm conversions are being logged accurately.

D. Dashboard & Reporting Setup
1. Create custom GA4 reports tailored for marketing:
2. Traffic sources (organic search, social media, paid ads, referrals).
3. Campaign performance (UTM tracking).
4. Conversion funnel from visit ? lead.
5. Build exploration reports for deeper insights.
6. Set up email alerts for significant changes in traffic or conversions (optional).

5. Documentation & Training
Provide clear, step-by-step documentation that includes:
Overview of GA4 setup for the marketing website.
How to access and read reports.
How to add new events or edit existing tracking in GTM.
How to pull campaign performance data.
Troubleshooting guide for common tracking issues.

6. Knowledge Transfer
1-hour walkthrough call to explain:
How GA4 is set up for the marketing website.
How to find and understand reports.
How to check and update events.



Deliverables
1.Fully configured GA4 setup for the marketing website.
2.Implemented event and conversion tracking for marketing goals.
3.Verified data accuracy through testing.
4. Custom GA4 dashboards and reports.
5. Documentation (Google Doc or PDF) detailing:

- Setup overview.
-Event definitions.
