Part Time
1000
TBD
Jun 4, 2026
We're looking for an AI-first Google Ads expert who genuinely loves this work and shows up with the plan. If you light up when you're building a Search or PMax campaign from scratch, use AI as a daily working partner, and prefer driving strategy over taking tasks, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
- You'll build and manage multiple Google Ads (and Microsoft Ads) accounts from the ground up, across both ecommerce and lead generation clients.
- Most of the work lives in Search and Performance Max, with other campaign types layered in when the account calls for it.
- You'll partner with our team to win. We share the wins and we share the work, but you'll lead the thinking on the accounts you own.
- Success in your first 30 to 60 days looks like you showing up with the plan. You're telling us what we should be testing, why, and when. You have a clear point of view on what's working across each account, what isn't, and what you want to try next. The bar is strategic ownership.
Schedule
You'll work part-time hours that fall somewhere between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST. We'll set the exact schedule together. There's a real path to full-time as the work grows, so we'd love to know you're open to that conversation down the road. Just want to make sure you can work somewhere inside that window.
What We're Looking For
- An AI-first mindset. You use AI as a real working partner every day, and it shows in how you work.
- Independent problem-solving. You think first, use AI to amplify your thinking, and verify before sending anything off.
- A strategy-first approach. You're someone who shows up with the plan and tells us what we should be doing, testing, and improving. You partner with our team on execution, but you lead the thinking on your work.
- Deep comfort in Google Ads, GA4, and Search Console. You can navigate them without thinking and read the data without guessing.
- Experience running paid search across both ecommerce and lead generation. Both motions are part of the work, so you should be confident in each.
- A real love for this work. That comes through fast in conversation, and we'd rather hire someone who has it than someone who's just qualified.
How to Apply
A few things we'd love you to do, in order.
1. Please start your reply with the word "Jamal." We use this as a small check to spot applicants who read instructions carefully. Without it, we won't be able to review your application.
2. Record a 5-minute video answering the questions below. No script needed. We just want to get a feel for how you think.
3. Share your full tool stack with self-ratings (1 to 10). These ones we already know we need.
- Google Ads /10
- GA4 /10
- Search Console /10
Then add every other tool you use, one per line, with a /10. Include Microsoft Ads if you've used it, AI tools, spreadsheets you've built, niche platforms, the works. Honesty matters more than scoring high. The video will give us a sense of where you actually are.
4. Walk us through your work history. For your last 2 or 3 clients or accounts.
- What size was the account when you started (ad spend, revenue, lead volume, whatever metric fits the role)?
- What did you do for them?
- What was the outcome? Where were they when you started, and where are they now?
- If you have current clients, where are those accounts today?
We're trying to understand how you measure your own impact. The more specific, the better.
5. Quick confirmation that you can work somewhere inside the hours described above.
How You Use AI
In your video, spend a minute or so on this. The more specific the better.
- Which AI tools you use daily, weekly, and occasionally
- A specific example of a task in Google Ads where AI saves you real time, and how you use it
- A time AI gave you a wrong or bad output. How you caught it, and what you did about it
- Anything you've intentionally chosen NOT to let AI do in your work, and why
We're looking for real, lived examples. The specifics tell the story.
A Few Questions for Your Video
Take these in order, and just talk through them naturally.
1. If you took over a Google Ads account on day one for an ecommerce or lead gen client, walk us through what you'd want to look at in your first week and what your first hypothesis to test would be.
2. Walk us through how you'd diagnose a Search campaign that's spending well but not converting. What do you check, in what order, and why?
3. Tell us about a time you disagreed with a client or stakeholder about how a Google Ads account should be structured. What did you push back on, how did you handle it, and what happened?
4. Why do you love this work? Tell us about a recent campaign or
5. What's changed about how you structure and signal Google Ads campaigns in the last 12 months (PMax asset groups, search themes, AI Max for Search, broad match plus smart bidding, whatever you've adjusted to)? What's working for you right now and what isn't?
