JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary
Upside Capital Holdings is looking for a detail-oriented GL Accountant with experience in U.S. accounting and QuickBooks Online. The role is responsible for managing general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and 1099 preparation while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting U.S.-based companies remotely, can work independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and manage 1099 filings and vendor documentation.
Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
Generate financial reports and support audits.
Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and company policies.
Collaborate remotely with U.S.-based management and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5 years of GL/accounting experience.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Experience with 1099 preparation and filing.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience working remotely with U.S.-based companies preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Month-end close completed within deadlines.
100% timely completion of bank and account reconciliations.
Accuracy of journal entries and financial reports.
Timely and compliant 1099 filings.
Minimal unreconciled GL variances or discrepancies.
Audit readiness and organized financial documentation.
Accurate transaction coding in QuickBooks Online.
Responsiveness and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Continuous improvement in accounting processes and efficiency.
