Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Designer who can bring ideas to life through precise technical drawings, 3D modeling, and innovative design concepts.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of modern design trends, furniture construction methods, ergonomics, and materials — and can turn concepts into build-ready drawings that balance aesthetic appeal with functionality.

Responsibilities

Create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for fabrication

Develop 3D models and renderings for presentations and production review

Collaborate with design and production teams to refine details and ensure structural integrity

Research and apply current design trends, materials, and finishes

Review prototypes and ensure accuracy of dimensions, ergonomics, and usability

Work closely with manufacturers to ensure precision and quality in every piece

Contribute to concept development for new product lines and custom designs

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in furniture design or related industrial design field

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Revit

Strong technical knowledge of joinery, fabrication methods, and materials

Ability to translate design intent into production-ready technical drawings

Keen understanding of modern aesthetics, proportion, and functionality

Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
