I run a high-volume sports card reselling business on eBay (US-based, sports memorabilia category) and am hiring a full-time Operations Assistant to help me scale.
You'll be the engine of the daily operation — sourcing cards from multiple marketplaces, tracking inventory across a 3PL fulfillment center, replying to buyer messages, and keeping our master spreadsheet organized. This is a real operations role for someone who can run a system, not just complete tasks.
Daily responsibilities:
Pull daily orders CSV from eBay Seller Hub and update our master tracker
Match incoming sales to inventory and identify gaps that need sourcing
Source cards from eBay, Mercari, Whatnot, and Fanatics Collect (you'll be given a budget and target list each day)
Send polite "shipping speed" follow-up messages to slow source sellers
Reply to BATMANZFA buyer messages using approved templates
Track shipment arrivals at our Dallas apartment intake and our Texas 3PL
Flag urgent fulfillment issues to me daily
Daily end-of-day status report
Required:
Strong English (written) — must communicate professionally with buyers and sellers
Sports knowledge — basketball especially (NBA), football (NFL), baseball (MLB). You should know who Victor Wembanyama, Tom Brady, Shohei Ohtani, and Aaron Judge are without Googling.
Sports card knowledge a major plus — understanding of refractors, parallels, prizms, rookie cards, brand differences (Topps, Panini, Bowman)
Comfortable with Google Sheets and CSV exports
Reliable internet, available 8-10 hours/day overlapping with US Central Time afternoons/evenings
Detail-oriented and obsessive about not missing orders
Can follow SOPs but also thinks independently when something is unclear
Bonus skills:
Prior eBay buyer or seller experience
Prior dropshipping or reselling operations experience
Familiarity with Mercari, Whatnot, or sports card marketplaces

Hours:
8-10 hours/day, 6 days/week. Flexible scheduling but must have minimum 4 hours overlap with US Central Time afternoons.
To apply:
Send a short message answering these three questions:
Who is Victor Wembanyama and what team does he play for? What is the value of his base Donruss rookie card and Silver Prizm Rookie Card?
What's the difference between a base card and a refractor parallel? Who are the top three players in card value now of Basketball, Baseball, and Football?
Describe a time you managed a daily operational task that required tracking 50+ moving pieces. What system did you use?
Applications without answers to all three questions will be ignored.
I'll be reviewing applications over the next 4-5 days and interviewing the strongest candidates by video call. Start date within 1-2 weeks.
