Full-Time Video Editor Nicky Gordo Show

We're hiring a full-time video editor for the Nicky Gordo Show, a fast-growing podcast hosted by Fat Nick (400% QoQ growth, sponsors include BoomBoom, Rotten Candy, Triumph Arcade).

This is not a freelance gig. This is a full-time seat on a real team that's building something. If you're good and you stay sharp, there's room to grow with us.

We don't want AI-generated edits. No Opus Clip, no Submagic auto-captions, no AI auto-zoom, no AI scene detection doing the work for you. We can spot it instantly and we'll cut the trial on day one if we see it.
Every edit needs to be done by a human who watched the clip, picked the ---------- nt, timed the cut, and made real decisions. If your workflow is "dump the episode into an AI tool and ship what it spits out," do not apply. We're paying for taste and judgment, not for someone to babysit a tool we could run ourselves for free.
You can use AI to assist (transcription, rough cuts, captions as a starting point) but the final edit has to be yours. We'll know.

What you'll deliver every week:
20 short-form clips from Nicky Gordo Show episodes (vertical, captioned, optimized for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts). Clean cuts, punchy hooks in the first 2 seconds, on-brand pacing.
YouTube long-form audio censoring. We hand you the edited episode, you go through it and bleep/mute specific curse words so it's YouTube-monetization safe. Clean, consistent censor sound, no missed words, no awkward gaps.
10 additional short edits for Reels (TikTok + YouTube) from AB6 artist content, music videos, behind the scenes, etc.
Non-negotiables:
Available Mondays and Thursdays for weekly check-ins (we'll align on a time zone that works).
Fast turnaround. We post on a schedule and we don't miss.
You actually watch and understand the content. The Nicky Gordo Show has a specific tone — unhinged, comedic, internet-native. If you don't get it, this isn't the job for you.
Sharp ear for the audio censor pass. You need to catch every flagged word. One miss and the video gets demonetized.
You take direction but also bring ideas. If you see a ---------- nt in an episode that we missed, flag it.
What you need:
Strong portfolio of short-form content edited by hand (send links, not screenshots).
Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve proficiency. After Effects is a plus.
Reliable internet, reliable computer, reliable communication.
English good enough to follow nuanced creative direction and recognize curse words by ear.
