Clarke & Wright and Mercian Accountants, two leading UK accounting and legal firms, are looking for an experienced Content Writer to join our international team of over 20 professionals, split between the Philippines and the UK.

About the Role
This role involves more than just writing—you’ll help drive our firms’ digital presence by creating and managing content that educates, engages, and converts. You’ll also take ownership of the full content process, from creation to publication, ensuring it aligns with our two main goals:
- Providing useful content to educate leads and customers.
- Winning relevant traffic from search engines and social media that converts into paying customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality, SEO-optimised content for our WordPress websites.
- Develop and execute content marketing strategies tailored to UK accounting and legal services.
- Create and optimise engaging content for our social media platforms to drive traffic and conversions.
- Source, commission, and edit suitable photographs and videos from our team, events, and stock libraries.
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines, passes plagiarism checks, and aligns with AI detection standards.
- Leverage AI tools to support content creation while maintaining significant non-AI contributions for originality.
- Conduct competitor analysis to keep our content competitive and aligned with industry trends.

What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: A degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Content Expertise: Proven experience in creating engaging, high-quality content tailored to customer needs and business goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in WordPress for content publishing and basic editing of images and videos.
- SEO and Social Media: Advanced knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in creating content for social media platforms.
- Visual Content Skills: Experience selecting and editing photographs and video content, with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- AI Tools Proficiency: Comfortable using AI writing tools, complemented by strong editing skills for human-authored contributions.
- Plagiarism and Authenticity Standards: Dedication to ensuring all content is original and passes plagiarism and AI detection tools.
