Full-Time Chrome Extension Developer for eCommerce Automation SaaS

I run Dropanion, an eCommerce automation software business focused on online marketplace selling.

The software helps automate a retail-to-marketplace workflow. In simple terms, we take products from retail supplier sites such as Amazon and list them onto online marketplaces such as eBay. Right now the main workflow is Amazon to eBay, but we are looking to expand to more suppliers and more marketplaces over time.

Our software automates several major parts of this business, including:
• auto listing products
• finding winning products
• tracking inventory and stock status
• helping automate order fulfillment workflows
• managing accounting-related data such as profit sheets and tracking

The product has two main parts:
1. a backend website where users sign up, manage billing, and access their account
2. a Chrome extension that handles much of the browser automation and workflow execution

I already have a developer helping with some backend work, but I am now looking for a full-time developer who can take a major role on the Chrome extension side of the product while also being comfortable with the backend-connected parts that tie into it.

I want someone who can help build, debug, improve, and eventually take strong ownership over the extension side of the business.

What You'll Be Working On
Your main focus will be the Dropanion Chrome extension, including:
• building new features
• fixing bugs and reliability issues
• maintaining browser automation workflows
• improving scraping and data extraction logic
• adding new supplier integrations
• helping expand to additional marketplaces
• connecting extension workflows with backend systems
• helping turn product ideas into working product features quickly

Tech Stack / Experience Needed
This role is primarily focused on the Chrome extension and browser automation side of the product that includes web scraping and bot like activity, but it also touches backend-connected workflows.
You should be comfortable with a mix of:
• JavaScript
• Chrome extension development
• browser automation
• web scraping
• DOM interaction
• API integrations
• Firebase / Firestore
• backend-connected workflows
• AI/API-based product logic

For example, the extension may trigger workflows that store listing data in Firestore, send data to backend endpoints, or make AI-related API calls. Because of that, I need someone who is strong on the extension/front-end automation side and competent enough with backend integrations to work across the full feature flow when needed.

You do not need to be a pure backend engineer, but you should be comfortable understanding and working with backend-connected product logic.

AI-Assisted Coding Is Required
I specifically want a developer who is comfortable using modern AI coding tools such as:
• Cursor
• Claude Code
• other strong AI-assisted coding tools
I am not looking for someone who codes everything manually in the slow traditional way.
You should know how to use AI tools to:
• build faster
• debug faster
• understand existing code faster
• ship features more efficiently
At the same time, I want someone who can still think critically, review code properly, and not rely blindly on AI.
What I'm Looking For

You are a strong fit if you:
• have real experience building or maintaining Chrome extensions
• are strong with JavaScript
• have worked with scraping, browser automation, or dynamic front-end workflows
• can debug issues when websites change
• are comfortable working across both front-end extension logic and backend-connected workflows when needed
• understand how browser-based tools interact with databases, APIs, and backend services
• can understand product workflows, not just isolated code tasks
• are fluent in English and can communicate clearly in English in both written and verbal settings
• can work independently
• are comfortable moving quickly and shipping real product improvements
• want a long-term role inside a growing software business
