We're Hiring: Tech Lead (100% Remote)

ChariTag — a Canadian e-commerce platform turning everyday shopping into charitable impact — is looking for a Tech Lead to own products technical delivery and lead our engineering team.


The Role/What You'll Do
- Lead sprint planning, backlog/tech grooming
- Manage and prioritize Jira tickets across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
- Major Feature development and Bugs Fixing along with the tea ---------- mbers
- Conduct code reviews and enforce code quality standards
- Own architecture decisions and guide the team on best practices
- Coordinate cross-repo changes across multiple applications
- Mentor developers, remove blockers, and drive accountability
- Collaborate with product and stakeholders to turn requirements into technical tasks
- Manage release cycles, Git branch strategy, and deployment workflows
- Balance technical debt against feature delivery

Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years in a lead role managing a development team
- Strong experience with Laravel and Next.js / React
- Comfortable with sprint management and Jira workflows
- Experience with REST API design and multi-role systems
- Solid Git workflows (branching, PR reviews, releases)
- Strong AWS experience managing (EC2, S3, RDS, Route53 etc)
- Strong English communication skills for a remote, async environment

Nice to Have
- Docker, WebSockets, i18n, or e-commerce/marketplace experience
