Full Stack Developer

MJY Organization is an educational technology and software company focused on investing in and developing fast-growing web, mobile, cloud, and AI-enabled software for education. Our expertise spans strategic planning, development, and the operational rollout of our educational assets and ventures. We are based in Singapore with a significant presence in Australia.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to maintain, enhance, and expand our existing educational platform. The platform integrates AI functionalities, Open AI's API, and other advanced tools to assist educators.
The ideal candidate should have experience working on live applications with active users and be comfortable handling front-end, back-end, and database management.
The candidate must have experience with Microsoft Azure, Open AI API or demonstrate the ability to learn it very quickly.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze features from competitor platforms for inspiration.
Integrate APIs, focusing on Open AI’s GPT functionalities.
Work with educational experts to customize the platform for practical application.
Ensure the codebase is secure, scalable, and maintainable.
Fix and debug issues in the existing codebase.
Develop and implement new features based on user feedback and company needs.
Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and update based on user feedback.
Launch new features, monitor performance, and collect user feedback.
Manage version control (GitHub) and deployment (Azure) to ensure smooth updates.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in Full Stack Development.
Strong proficiency in:
Front-End: Next.js, Tailwind CSS, MUI
Back-End: Python Django, PostgreSQL
Version Control & Deployment: GitHub, Azure
Experience maintaining and improving live applications with active users.
Strong experience with API integrations, preferably AI-driven platforms.
Understanding of UI/UX best practices to enhance user experience.
Ability to optimize and scale an existing codebase for growth.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to Have
Background in EdTech or the education sector.
