Freight Broker Agent

We are seeking an experienced Freight Agent with 5+ years in the logistics and transportation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding and developing relationships with shippers, negotiating competitive rates, and preparing complete shipper packets. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are a must to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Source and secure freight opportunities with new and existing shippers
Negotiate rates and contracts with shippers and carriers
Prepare and manage shipper packets and required documentation
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
Quickly resolve issues and provide solutions in high-pressure situations
Stay updated on market trends and industry changes
Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience as a Freight Agent or similar role
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions
Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office tools
Self-motivated and able to work independently
