IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Utilize advanced Excel functions such as array formulas, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, and data visualization tools to organize, analyze, and interpret financial data effectively.
- Analyze and categorize General Ledger (GL) entries, ensuring proper classification of income, expenses, and non-operating financial activities.
- Perform reconciliations to verify data accuracy and ensure financial records align with reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation, providing insights to support business decision-making and underwriting assessments.
- Learn and apply underwriting principles, assessing financial risks and contributing to business evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, underwriting, and operations, to streamline data management and reporting processes.
- Continuously improve financial workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and enhanced reporting accuracy.
YOU WILL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets accurately.
- Experience in financial reporting and General Ledger (GL) categorization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards..
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Understanding of underwriting principles, or a willingness to learn and apply them in financial risk assessments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, ensuring financial data integrity while supporting decision-making processes.
- A continuous learning mindset, staying up to date with financial analysis trends, underwriting techniques, and best practices.
