About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance & Collections Coordinator to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing expense tracking, ensuring accurate documentation of financial transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. You will collaborate with the finance team to maintain financial records, process expense reports, and support data analysis efforts. Core Responsibilities
Expense Management:
Process, verify, and reconcile expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Communicate with employees to resolve discrepancies or issues related to expense claims, ensuring timely resolution.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and expense analysis to support management decisions.
Monitor budgets and track variances, flagging discrepancies and suggesting adjustments as needed.
Record Maintenance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and ensure timely documentation in accordance with company protocols.
Support the finance team by ensuring proper documentation and filing for audit and reporting purposes.
Month-End & Year-End Support:
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring that all transactions are documented and recorded accurately.
Support the team with any necessary adjustments or reconciliations to meet financial deadlines.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to improve reporting processes and enhance financial accuracy.
Suggest and implement improvements for better efficiency and accuracy in expense tracking and financial reporting.
Administrative Support:
Perform other finance-related administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations within the department.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with QuickBooks and Stripe: Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial tracking, categorizing transactions, and experience with Stripe for payment processing.
Bookkeeping Experience: Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, including categorizing transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
Familiarity with Salesforce: Experience with or a general understanding of Salesforce for financial or customer-related data management.
