Ji Martial Arts is a premium martial arts performance brand founded by brothers Joshua and Joel Iyalla — elite martial artists with over 35 years of combined experience and a combined social following of 3.5 million. Our founder Joshua Iyalla holds three Guinness World Records, including the world's fastest puncher. UFC fighter Michael "Venom" Page uses and endorses our product.
We are full-time content creators with over 10 years of combined industry experience. We understand content deeply and know exactly what we want. We need an editor who shares that same understanding — someone who can take our vision and execute it with precision, creativity, and genuine craft.
THE ROLE
We are hiring a full-time
This is a full-time, long-term position. We are not looking for someone fitting us around another job or treating this as a side project. We want someone who is fully in — someone who wakes up thinking about performance, growth, and output. If that is not you, this role is not for you.
WHAT THIS ROLE DEMANDS
This is not a role where you edit one style of ad on repeat. Our creatives span 5 to 10 distinct formats and styles — from cinematic brand storytelling to fast-cut UGC, pattern interrupts, testimonial-style edits, hook-driven direct response, and beyond. You will be expected to move fluidly between them, bringing your own creative instinct to every brief.
We produce 21 video ad creatives per week — 3 per day. That is the standard this role operates at from week one. We understand there is a bedding-in period with our content and style, but the output expectation is there from the start. If that excites you, read on. If it intimidates you, this is not the right fit.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitor our Notion pipeline and begin editing as soon as cards move to Needs Editing — you will be notified via WhatsApp with a voice note or message confirming what needs to be done
- Source clips from our Airtable raw clips library, log everything used, and keep records clean and up to date
- Edit across 5 to 10 distinct ad formats and styles per week, applying your own creative judgement on music, SFX, pacing, and visual effects
- Generate AI voiceovers using ElevenLabs and upload all finished edits to Google Drive following our naming conventions
- Attend a weekly Friday tea
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Proven experience editing
- Full proficiency in CapCut and the ability to edit across multiple styles and formats — you are not a one-trick pony
- A genuine understanding of consumer psychology and buying behaviour — you know why hooks work, why pacing matters, and - The ability to adapt and learn quickly — we use tools like Airtable and Notion to manage our workflow, both of which are straightforward to pick up. What cannot be taught is creative range, instinct, and versatility — and that is what we are really hiring forwhy the first 2 seconds determine everything
- Full-time availability and complete focus — no other jobs, no split attention, no divided priorities

You are already good. You know it. But you are also hungry to get better. You study ads that perform. You notice what works and why. You bring ideas without being asked. You care about the result — not just the deliverable. You are driven by performance, not just output.
This role includes performance-based bonus potential. When our ads win, you win. We are invested in building a long-term relationship with the right person, and we pay accordingly.
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
- You have never edited a paid ad
- You only edit in one style or format
- You have another job and are treating this as secondary
- You are not proficient in CapCut
- You need assets handed to you before you can start
- You need to be told what good pacing looks like
- You cannot commit to full-time hours and full-time focus
