Experienced Associate

Jacobson Jarvis is a full-service certified public accounting firm locate in Seattle Washington U.S.A serving not-for-profit organizations primarily in the State of Washington. We are in search of an experienced audit associate to work remotely as one of our engagement teaUpgrade to see actual infombers. Our firm uses cutting-edge cloud-based audit technology, and is focused on audit quality and client service. As part of our team, you will be assigned and will gain experience in various areas of a financial statement audits of our not-for-profit clients.
The Experienced Associate may perform the following duties:
1. Preparing/reviewing client business process narratives, internal control information, and performing walkthroughs of internal controls as part of the audit planning process
2. Auditing various financial statements areas such as Cash and Cash Equivalents, Payables and Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Property and Equipment, Leases and possibly other areas as assigned
3. In all audit areas assigned, experiences associated will be preparing workpapers, various analyses, and examining source documentation, and similar audit steps for their respective assignment from start to finish.
4. Progression towards more complex/judgmental areas of the audit over time.
5. Collaborate with other audit teaUpgrade to see actual infombers which may include Senior Associates, Managers, Principals, and Partners.
Requirements:
1. Up to one year or more of prior audit experience
2. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field
3. CPA License, or progress towards, is a plus
4. Ability to effectively work in a home or remote environment, accessing cloud-based systems, completing work, participating in meetings with limited or no distractions.
5. Flexibility with time-zone differences initially, working towards a more flexible work schedule over the course of time.
6. Dedication to professionalism, self-motivation, teamwork, and professional growth
7. Manage your time, make efforts to be efficient, conduct critical self-review, responding to review comments and updating workpapers timely.
8. Ability to meet using MS Teams with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, and others.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills working with engagement teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and emailing clients.
