JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Construction Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality estimation services across commercial, residential, and trade sectors. Working directly with the team and the CEO, you'll handle complex estimation projects while helping maintain our reputation for technical excellence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
- Develop and maintain rate libraries and estimation templates
- Manage tender submissions and provide comprehensive documentation
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to ensure accurate quantity take-offs
- Provide value management and cost planning services
- Support strategic partnerships with key clients
- Mentor other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers in estimation practices

Required Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in construction estimation or quantity surveying
- Experience in the Australian Construction Industry
- Proven track record of accurate estimation across various project types

Required Software Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Cubit or similar estimation software
- Expert level Excel skills for custom calculations and analysis
- Harvest
- Airtable
- Microsoft 365 Suite
- Preferable experience with EstimateOne, Buildxact, Wunderbuild, and/or Buildpass

Essential Qualities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards and being accountable
- Proactive approach to process improvement and efficiency

Work Schedule:
- Part-time (10 hours per week) with potential for increase as the company grows, flexible hours between 7am-5pm AEST
- Preferred start date: 17th March

- You'll work closely with the CEO and as the business grows, there will be opportunities to transition to a full-time role, take on additional responsibilities, and eventually lead a team of estimators and administrators yourself.
