We are currently seeking a skilled Virtual Estimating Assistant to join our growing team and support our construction projects remotely.


Position Overview:
The Virtual Estimating Assistant will be responsible for supporting the estimation process for commercial construction projects. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors, and producing accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of industry software and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of detailed construction cost estimates for a variety of commercial projects.
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and quotes.
Ensure accuracy in estimating materials, labor, equipment, and other project costs.
Utilize construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift) and Excel to compile and analyze data.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of construction methods, materials, and market rates.
Identify discrepancies in project documentation and resolve conflicts in provided information.
Prioritize and manage multiple estimates, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
Review estimates with project managers and adjust for any unforeseen changes.
Track and report on project estimate progress, ensuring all information is accurate and competitive.


Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimating Assistant or in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, or equivalent) and Excel for cost analysis.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with construction processes, material costs, and labor rates.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adjust estimates when project parameters change.

Experience completing Takeoffs
Experience utilizing Planswift
Experience in remote work environments.
Knowledge of regional and industry-specific cost trends.
Adaptability and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all estimates.
