The Role

We are looking for a skilled offshore estimator to support our quoting pipeline on a casual, as-needed basis. Work will come through in bursts depending on what we have on at the time, so this role suits someone who is responsive, self-directed, and comfortable with a flexible arrangement.

This is not a one-off contract. We want to find the right person and build a genuine long-term working relationship. Over time, you will get to know our business, our pricing, our preferred suppliers, and the way we like things done. The more you understand how we operate, the more valuable you become to us and the more consistent the work.

We are looking for someone reliable, accurate, and easy to work with — someone who will still be part of our team in five years.

What You Will Be Doing

• Performing quantity takeoffs from electrical plans using Groundplan
• Building and pricing quotes in simPRO using our prebuilds and materials catalogue
• Interpreting plans and scopes of work for small to medium residential and commercial projects
• Communicating with our directors via email and video call to clarify scope where needed
• Turning around quotes within agreed timeframes
• Gradually learning our pricing structure, labour rates, and supplier preferences

What We Need From You

• Solid, demonstrable experience in electrical estimating
• Competent and confident use of Groundplan for plan takeoffs
• Competent and confident use of simPRO for quoting
• Strong written and spoken English, you need to communicate clearly with our team
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
• Reliability and responsiveness, if you say you will deliver by a date, we need to be able to count on that
• A professional remote setup with a stable internet connection

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and market pricing
• Prior experience working with Australian electrical or trade contractors
