JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We're a new e-commerce brand in hosiery. We move quickly, test constantly, and expect people who can keep up. We're looking for a sharp, self-directed Marketing Assistant who is well rounded— from building and scheduling social content to wrangling UGC creators, setting up email flows, managing customer support, and keeping product listings tight on Shopify.

This role suits someone who loves variety, takes pride in their craft, and is comfortable leaning on AI tools to work smarter. You won't be micromanaged — you'll be trusted to deliver.

What You'll Be Doing
Social Media Management
Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
Write captions and hooks that match brand voice and drive engagement
Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions — keep our communities active
Track performance metrics and bring weekly insights to the table

UGC & Influencer Coordination
Source and vet UGC creators, micro-influencers, and actors for ad content
Brief creators clearly: angles, talking points, dos and don'ts
Manage timelines, asset delivery, and usage rights
Build and maintain a shortlist of reliable creators we can activate quickly

Email
Marketing (EDM)
Set up and manage email flows in Klaviyo (welcome, abandon cart, post-purchase, win-back)
Write and schedule campaign emails for launches, promotions, and seasonal ---------- nts
Monitor open rates, click rates, and revenue — report what's working and what isn't

Copywriting (AI-Assisted)
Write product descriptions, ad copy, email subject lines, and social captions
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to draft and iterate quickly
Edit AI output to match brand tone — not paste-and-go, but polished and on-brand

Customer Support
Handle customer enquiries via email and social DMs in a timely, friendly manner
Manage order issues, refund requests, and complaints with good judgment
Flag recurring issues and suggest fixes to reduce future tickets

Shopify Product Management
Add and update product listings: titles, descriptions, images, tags, and variants
Manage collections, pricing, and promotional codes as directed
Spot and flag errors in the store — broken links, incorrect inventory, display issues

What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
Proven experience managing social media for a brand (not just personal accounts)
Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email platform
Comfortable working inside Shopify — adding products, editing listings, navigating the backend
Strong written English — clear, engaging, no fluff
Experience coordinating UGC creators or influencers end-to-end
Confident using AI writing tools as part of your day-to-day workflow
Highly organised — you manage your own tasks and deadlines without being chased
Basic graphic design skills (Canva is fine)

Nice-to-Haves
Experience with paid social (Meta Ads or TikTok Ads)
Background in e-commerce, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brands
Familiarity with analytics tools — GA4, Meta Business Suite, etc.

How We Work
Everything is async-first — we communicate clearly in writing
You'll have ownership over your work; we care about results, not hours
Expect direct feedback — work hand in hand with the owner
We use AI tools extensively and expect you to do the same

How to Apply — Application Task
We don't want a cover letter. Instead, complete the short task below and submit it alongside your CV. Applications without the completed task will not be reviewed.

? Application Task
Imagine you're joining a Shopify brand that sells the most comfortable tights . You've been asked to kick off the week with a content sprint. Complete all three parts below.
Part 1 — Customer Support Reply
Draft a response for someone who has emailed us because of laddered tights, disappointed, asking what you’ll do.
Part 2 — UGC Creator Brief
Write a brief (bullet points are fine) you'd send to a UGC creator for a 30-second product video. Include: the angle/storyline, key messages to hit, what to avoid, and the deliverable format.
Part 3 — Email Subject Lines
Write a full email from subject line + body for an abandoned cart email targeting someone who left a pair of tights their cart.
Submit your task responses as a Google Doc.
