JOB OVERVIEW

Hello, we require an Ecommerce Marketing Assistant for a long term (potentially permanent) position with a New Zealand based company. To begin with, the position will be approx 10 hours per week, with a view to incrementally increase to full time. We understand there is a time zone difference and you may have other work, so your work schedule can be flexible and is open for discussion.

About Us:
We run two small ecommerce businesses in the wedding and home decor industries. Our target market is 80% women, aged 24-60 in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. One of the businesses has been established for 9 years, the other 4 years. We have a small team that have been together a long time and are looking to add another member to assist in the continuation of our growth.

Responsibilities:
Onsite content creation - blog writing and updating.
Social media content creation from supplied raw content (reels, short form videos, carousels etc), scheduling and posting.
Assist with our social media accounts by scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
Assist with email marketing campaigns and flows.
SEO - implement basic SEO strategies to improve site and product visibility.
Create and update product descriptions, images and pricing.
Customer service - handling customer enquiries and providing price quotes.
R&D - assist with general research.
General admin and PA as and when needed.

Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills in English, written in particular.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Shopify & Etsy experience preferable but not required if willing to learn.
Confidence with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools is a plus.
Social media content editing app proficiency.
Canva experience.
Proficient with ChatGPT or similar.
META ads manager experience preferable but not required if willing to learn.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
A willingness to learn and add value is a must.
