E-Commerce Operations Specialist
Job Type: Part-Time (15 hours per week)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern Time
Salary: $400



Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven E-Commerce Operations Specialist to support backend operations and improve overall system efficiency. This role is focused primarily on operational support, Shopify backend organization, inventory management, and systems optimization.

The ideal candidate thrives behind the scenes, bringing structure to workflows, cleaning up data, maintaining accurate inventory records, and improving operational processes. While exposure to accounting and planning is helpful, the core focus of this role is operational execution and backend optimization.



Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Backend Management
Organize and maintain Shopify backend systems
Clean up product data, collections, tags, and backend structure
Ensure product listings and backend data are accurate and optimized
Improve workflow organization within Shopify
Inventory Management & Transfers

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate transfers between locations
Reconcile inventory discrepancies
Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems
Support forecasting and stock planning initiatives
Operations Systems & SOP Development

Develop, document, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Improve internal systems and operational workflows
Identify inefficiencies and implement structured solutions
Data Cleanup & Reporting

Conduct backend data cleanup and organization
Generate operational and inventory reports
Support reporting dashboards and performance tracking
Ensure backend data accuracy across systems
Support Functions

Provide operational support across teams
Assist with light accounting-related tasks when needed
Support planning initiatives (secondary responsibility)




Qualifications
3+ years of experience in e-commerce operations or backend management
Strong hands-on experience with Shopify backend management
Experience with inventory tracking and stock transfers
Strong organizational and process-building skills
Experience creating or maintaining SOPs
Strong data cleanup and reporting capabilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
Ability to work independently and improve systems proactively
Basic accounting knowledge is a plus
