# Video Editor / AI Creative Editor for Direct Response Ecommerce
We are looking for an experienced **Video Editor / AI Creative Editor** who understands how to create high-performing video ads for direct response ecommerce brands.
This is not a basic editing role. We need someone who can take raw concepts, hooks, scripts, UGC clips, product footage, AI-generated assets, and turn them into ads that stop the scroll, build trust, and drive purchases.
You should be highly creative, fast, organized, and deeply familiar with performance marketing creative.
## About the Role
You will be responsible for creating video ads across multiple creative styles, including:
* AI animation
* 3D / Pixar-style animated concepts
* Claymation-style videos
* AI UGC videos
* AI authority / doctor-style content
* Product demonstration videos
* Founder-style or expert-style ads
* Problem / solution ads
* Before-and-after storytelling
* Social proof and testimonial-style edits
* VSL-style direct response videos
* Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and native ad creatives
The ideal candidate understands that great video ads are not just “pretty edits.” They are built around hooks, pacing, emotional triggers, believability, product education, and conversion.
## Responsibilities
* Edit direct response video ads for ecommerce brands
* Create AI-generated video concepts using tools like Runway, Kling, Pika, Veo, Midjourney, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Captions, or similar tools
* Turn static images, AI assets, product renders, and scripts into engaging animated ads
* Create multiple variations of winning ads for testing
* Build strong openings/hooks that grab attention in the first 1–3 seconds
* Add captions, sound design, transitions, motion graphics, B-roll, product callouts, and visual proof elements
* Create UGC-style edits that feel native, believable, and not overly polished
* Create authority-style ads using AI avatars, expert visuals, documentary-style edits, and educational storytelling
* Work with scripts, briefs, and raw creative direction from the marketing team
* Understand direct response structure: hook, problem, agitation, solution, proof, offer, CTA
* Edit videos for different placements including Meta, TikTok, Reels, Stories, YouTube Shorts, and advertorial/native funnels
* Stay up to date with AI video tools, ecommerce trends, and winning ad formats
## Requirements
* Proven experience editing video ads for direct response ecommerce brands
* Strong understanding of Meta ads, TikTok ads, and performance creative
* Experience creating AI-generated video, animation, UGC, and authority-style content
* Ability to create videos that look native to social platforms, not like generic corporate ads
* Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, hooks, and visual retention
* Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software
* Experience using AI creative tools such as Runway, Kling, Pika, Midjourney, Veo, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, or similar platforms
* Ability to follow a creative brief while also bringing strong creative ideas to the table
* Comfortable creating many variations quickly for testing
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
## Nice to Have
* Experience with supplement, health, wellness, beauty, or DTC ecommerce brands
* Experience editing ads for products focused on blood flow, blood pressure, energy, longevity, gut health, weight loss, or similar health angles
* Experience creating advertorial-style or native ad video creatives
* Experience with AI voiceovers, AI avatars, and realistic AI UGC workflows
* Understanding of compliance-sensitive health marketing
* Ability to help ideate hooks and angles, not just edit what is provided

You should be able to look at a product, understand the customer pain point, and create video concepts that make people stop, watch, trust, and buy.

* A claymation-style explainer showing blood flow improving
* A 3D animated body visual showing circulation support
* A doctor-style AI authority video explaining a health problem
* A UGC-style testimonial ad that feels organic and real
* A product demo video with captions, callouts, and strong pacing
* A scroll-stopping AI animation that visualizes the core product benefit
* A direct response ad built around a strong hook and clear CTA
