JOB OVERVIEW

Digital Experience & Website Strategist
Remote Independent Contractor (Philippines)

About Us

We are building two complementary leadership and impact-focused organizations:

Mastering Ministry
Mastering Ministry is a Church Development Advisory dedicated to helping pastors, ministry leaders, churches, and faith-based organizations strengthen leadership, communication, ministry systems, organizational health, and community impact.

Vision for Impact
Vision for Impact is a leadership and organizational development advisory that helps businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, public sector organizations, and community leaders strengthen leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, change readiness, organizational effectiveness, and community impact.

Together, these organizations share a common mission: helping leaders move from vision to meaningful and sustainable impact.

Our Philosophy

We believe technology should support people, not replace them.

While we embrace AI-powered tools and emerging technologies, we also believe that meaningful communication, audience understanding, strategic thinking, and human insight remain essential.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) can accelerate development, but Human Intelligence (HI) is what creates relevance, connection, trust, and impact.

Our goal is not simply to build websites.

Our goal is to create digital experiences that help people learn, engage, connect, and take meaningful action.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Digital Experience & Website Strategist who can help design, build, maintain, and continuously improve the digital presence of both Mastering Ministry and Vision for Impact.

This role goes beyond website development.

We are looking for someone who understands that effective digital experiences begin with understanding the people being served.

The successful candidate will help create websites that communicate clearly, build trust, encourage engagement, and support the growth of both organizations.

This role requires someone who can appreciate the unique needs of both ministry and marketplace audiences and help create digital experiences that effectively serve each audience while maintaining a cohesive brand experience.

Why This Role Matters

Our websites serve as the primary gateway through which people discover our work, engage with our services, access resources, register for workshops, book consultations, and learn about our mission.

The work completed through this role will support:

Pastors and church leaders
Ministry teams
Nonprofit organizations
Business owners
Entrepreneurs
Executives
Public sector leaders
Community stakeholders

The digital experiences you help create will play an important role in how people perceive, understand, and engage with our organizations.

Key Responsibilities
Website Design & Development

Design, build, maintain, and improve websites that support our advisory services, workshops, coaching programs, speaking engagements, and leadership development initiatives.

Responsibilities may include:

Designing and building pages within Wix Studio and Wix Editor
Creating service pages, workshop pages, coaching pages, resource pages, and event pages
Developing intuitive website navigation and user journeys
Structuring information in a way that is easy to understand and act upon
Building registration, inquiry, booking, and contact experiences
Maintaining and updating website content
Ensuring mobile responsiveness and accessibility
Supporting overall website performance and usability
Audience & User Experience Strategy

A critical part of this role is understanding the audiences we serve.

Responsibilities may include:

Learning about the audiences served by both organizations
Understanding the differences between ministry and marketplace audiences
Recommending website structures and user journeys based on audience needs
Identifying opportunities to improve visitor engagement and conversion
Evaluating how content, design, and functionality work together to support organizational goals
Helping ensure visitors can easily find information and take meaningful action

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand that successful websites are designed around user needs rather than personal preferences.

AI-Assisted Website Development

We encourage the use of AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, accelerate development, and support creativity.

Examples may include:

Rocket
Emergent AI
Lovable
Cursor
Replit
Other AI-assisted development tools

However, we are not looking for someone who simply generates websites using AI and publishes the results.

We are looking for someone who understands how to combine AI capabilities with human judgment, audience understanding, strategic thinking, and creativity.

The successful candidate will use AI to accelerate workflows while still evaluating:

Whether the design supports organizational objectives
Whether the content resonates with the intended audience
Whether the user experience feels intuitive and engaging
Whether the website communicates credibility and trust
Whether the final solution reflects the mission and goals of the organization
Strategic Recommendations & Continuous Improvement

We are not looking for someone who simply executes instructions.

We value contractors who:

Ask thoughtful questions
Bring new ideas
Recommend improvements
Identify opportunities
Share constructive feedback
Challenge assumptions respectfully when appropriate
Contribute strategic recommendations that strengthen the digital experience

The ideal candidate acts as a collaborative partner rather than an order taker.

The Ideal Candidate

We are not simply looking for someone who can build websites.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in understanding people, organizations, and the impact we are trying to create.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious and enjoys learning about leadership, communication, ministry, organizational development, community engagement, and user experience.

You should enjoy understanding audiences before proposing solutions.

One of the most important aspects of this role is the ability to appreciate two distinct but complementary audiences:

Mastering Ministry Audiences
Pastors
Church leaders
Ministry teams
Faith-based organizations
Vision for Impact Audiences
Business leaders
Entrepreneurs
Nonprofit organizations
Government and public sector leaders
Community stakeholders

The successful candidate will recognize that these audiences may have different expectations, communication styles, motivations, and needs.

You should be able to create digital experiences that speak effectively to both groups while supporting a unified mission focused on leadership, growth, and impact.

Applicants do not need ministry experience; however, they should be comfortable working with faith-based organizations and communicating respectfully within ministry environments.

The strongest candidates will demonstrate:

Strategic thinking
Audience empathy
Curiosity
Creativity
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving abilities
Initiative and ownership
A commitment to continuous learning
Contractor Engagement

This is a remote independent contractor opportunity.

Work volume will vary based on project needs and business growth. Some weeks may require only a few hours of support, while other weeks may require up to 20 hours.

Contractors are expected to manage their own schedules while meeting agreed-upon deadlines and maintaining consistent communication regarding project progress and availability.

This role is intended to begin as a flexible contractor engagement with opportunities for increased responsibility and work volume as the business grows.

Three recommendations to improve user experience.
