JOB OVERVIEW

Are you an experienced DevOps and SysAdmin professional who thrives on building and maintaining robust, secure, and efficient server environments? Are you skilled in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes, with a deep understanding of CI/CD processes? If so, you may be the perfect fit to join our team and help us scale and secure our infrastructure for the future!

At Kundan, we manage a diverse range of internal and client projects across multiple servers and cloud providers. Our stack involves Linux servers, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and robust security and monitoring practices. We’re looking for a reliable, proactive DevOps & SysAdmin Specialist who can work alongside our team to maintain and scale our infrastructure, letting us focus on innovation and growth.

**Why Join Us:**

- Take Ownership: You’ll play a vital role in building and managing systems that directly impact the success of our company and clients.

- Collaborate Closely: Work directly with the founder and our development team, taking on key infrastructure tasks and working closely on project deployments and optimizations.

- Flexible Yet Full-Time Commitment: Enjoy remote work with flexible hours, but commit fully to our team’s success.

- Growth Opportunities: Tackle exciting technical challenges across DevOps and SysAdmin domains, and grow your skill set in a supportive environment.

**What You’ll Be Doing:**

- VPS Management: Deploy and manage virtual private servers (VPS) on Digital Ocean, Linode, and other cloud providers. Most of our projects run on Linux Ubuntu.

- System Security and Upgrades: Handle server hardening, system updates, and security patches to ensure our infrastructure remains secure and up-to-date.

- Monitoring and Uptime Management: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track system health and ensure uptime across multiple internal and client projects.

- Kubernetes & Docker Management: Build, maintain, and scale Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters as needed for internal projects.

- CI/CD with GitLab: Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, ensuring smooth, automated deployment and testing processes.

- API and Microservice Management: Have a basic understanding of our development stack, which includes Laravel for APIs, Vue.js frontends, WordPress for client sites, and messaging solutions like RabbitMQ and Redis.

- External Integrations: Configure and manage secure connections with external partners, including SFTP, OpenAS2, and EDI integrations, supporting communication between internal systems and partner networks.

**What We’re Looking For:**

- Proven Experience in SysAdmin and DevOps: 3+ years of experience managing Linux servers (preferably Ubuntu) and cloud environments.

- Expertise in Kubernetes & Docker: Solid understanding of Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters. You can build, deploy, manage, and scale them effectively.

- CI/CD Knowledge: Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline management for development, testing, and production deployments.

- System Security Skills: Comfortable managing system security, hardening servers, and applying necessary patches and upgrades.

- Communication & Reliability: Excellent written and verbal communication in English. You’re available consistently, work within a fixed schedule, and can take ownership without needing constant oversight.

- Team-Oriented Mindset: Willingness to collaborate closely with our founder and team. You can bring your ideas to the table, seek out smart solutions, and stay committed to shared goals.

- Additional Skills in Infrastructure: Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, and experience with SFTP, OpenAS2, and EDI integrations is a plus. Be open to learning new skills.

**Work Schedule:**

As our team operates on Central European Time (CET, UTC+1), we require a work schedule that aligns with our hours. This means a typical workday for a candidate from the Philippines (UTC+8) would begin around 1-2 PM PH time, allowing for smooth collaboration with our team.”

**Why You’ll Love Working with Us:**

- Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, but stay committed full-time to our team’s projects and success.

- Impactful Work: Your contributions will directly affect the stability and growth of our company’s infrastructure.

- Learning and Growth: Tackle a variety of challenging technical tasks and continue growing your skills across DevOps and SysAdmin areas.

- Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values open communication, reliability, and teamwork.
