DevOps Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced n8n Specialist to manage, optimise, and scale our automation workflows on a self hosted VPS environment (Hostinger KVM). You will be responsible for ensuring our n8n instance runs reliably, securely, and efficiently, while implementing advanced workflow automation across our business systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and optimise n8n workflows in a production environment.
• Manage n8n container deployments on Hostinger VPS, including environment variables, ports, volumes, and networking.
• Ensure robust backup strategies: application-level backups, volume snapshots, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and tune performance, memory, and CPU usage to handle high workflow volumes efficiently.
• Integrate n8n with external tools and APIs (CRM, marketing, SMS/email, etc.).
• Implement secure credential management and encryption for sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot workflow errors, webhook issues, and system alerts.
• Advise on scaling strategies as workflows and data grow.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience with n8n, including workflow design, triggers, and nodes.
• Hands-on experience with VPS environments, preferably Hostinger KVM or similar.
• Solid understanding of Docker containers and container orchestration.
• Experience with Linux server administration, including security hardening and service monitoring.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQLite, and preparing for future database scaling.
• Understanding of webhooks, APIs, and HTTP integrations.
• Ability to implement automated backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document processes.

Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with PostgreSQL migration from SQLite and cluster setups.
• Knowledge of scalable architecture design for automation workloads.
• Familiarity with Redis or other queue/worker systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment of containerized apps.
