Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in self-hosted Kubernetes, bare-metal server management, and self-hosted infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining custom solutions, with a deep understanding of networking, TCP sockets, and system monitoring. This position requires a proactive individual who can investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and performance.

What You’ll do
Design, implement, and maintain self-hosted Kubernetes (K8s) clusters on bare-metal servers.
Manage and optimize self-hosted infrastructure (we do not use AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Deploy and maintain Redis and MongoDB for high-performance applications.
Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket.
Monitor infrastructure using Grafana and other observability tools to ensure system stability.
Troubleshoot networking issues, optimize TCP sockets, and improve system performance.
Develop custom DevOps solutions using Python and GoLang (strong advantage).
Implement security best practices and manage Cloudflare configurations for performance and security.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Work closely with development teams to support deployment and infrastructure needs.

What We’re Looking For
Strong experience with self-hosted Kubernetes and bare-metal server management.
Expertise in Redis and MongoDB administration and optimization.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and GoLang (big advantage).
Bash scripts knowledge
Experience with Bitbucket pipelines for deployment automation.
Deep understanding of networking concepts, TCP sockets, and low-level system performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with self-hosted infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
Familiarity with Cloudflare for managing DNS, security, and traffic routing.
Experience in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
Strong knowledge of Grafana and other monitoring tools for tracking system health.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with container runtime internals and optimizing Kubernetes performance.
Knowledge of logging and tracing tools for distributed systems.
Strong security background in self-hosted environments.
Experience in writing infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
