JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be critical in improving our ability to manage and deploy cloud infrastructure as well as application code faster by building the CI/CD pipeline, manage it more effectively and have a great understanding of our systems as they affect our business.

Compensation: $10 - $15 per hour (depending on your experience)

****What we’re looking for****
3+ years of Linux/Unix administration with at least 2 years in an environment with large scale environment
Strong experience with cloud service providers, particularly AWS
Strong experience with cloud monitoring technologies such as CloudWatch, Newrelic or other monitoring tools
Experience in using log aggregation tools – Elasticsearch, Kibana, Opensearch
Experience working with CI/CD, deployment and monitoring
Solid understanding of Docker containers, ECS or EKS
Solid understanding and support microservices architecture and Serverless
Vast experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Cloudformation, Pulumi, Terraform or similar tools
Vast experience with build tools such as Jenkins, Github actions or equivalents
Familiarity with NodeJS
Demonstrable skill in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Perl, Python, JavaScript or Node.js
Knowledge of SQL, and non-relational (No SQL) databases
Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
Knowledge of software version control systems such as SVN, GitHub or BitBucket
Knowledge and experience in implementing push button deployment at scale with zero downtime
Experience working on large or complex projects
Experience working as part of a globally distributed team

****Nice-to-haves****
Experience with content management frameworks such as Contentful or Strapi
GraphQL
React Native experience for mobile app development
E2E & Unit testing
Agile software development

****What you’ll do****
Automate the deployment, configuration and management of cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or container/ECS.
Stay on top of the most relevant, industry-leading technologies and techniques to ensure a streamlined, efficient, and productive development and operational environment.
Be a key person in resolving production-related issues and ensuring we identify and remediate the root cause of problems.
Own and improve CICD pipelines, automation scripts, and observability Upgrade to see actual infocate and support fellow engineers
