Position Summary: The Deal Sourcing Manager will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our acquisition pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential target companies in the facilities maintenance sector. This position requires someone with strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with business owners and intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Management:
• Source acquisition targets through multiple channels including industry databases, broker networks, trade associations, and direct outreach
• Build and maintain relationships with business brokers, M&A advisors, and industry professionals
• Qualify potential targets based on our acquisition criteria ($2-5M EBITDA, commercial focus, route-based services)
• Create and maintain a comprehensive database of potential acquisition targets
• Track and report on pipeline metrics and deal flow activity
(2) Initial Due Diligence:
• Conduct preliminary financial analysis of target companies
• Prepare initial investment memorandums for qualified opportunities
• Coordinate with management team on target evaluation and prioritization
• Support deal team in preliminary discussions with business owners
(3) Market Intelligence:
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
• Identify strategic opportunities within target geographical regions
• Attend relevant industry conferences and networking events
• Build relationships with key industry players and associations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, venture capital, or business development
• Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation metrics
• Excellent analytical and research skills
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficiency with CRM systems and financial modeling tools
KPIs:
• Qualified Leads - $300 per lead. Criteria:
o Commercial customer base
o Minimum EBITDA of $2 million
o Services:
? Non - licensed industry segments: Janitorial services, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor maintenance, pressure washing, landscaping and grounds maintenance, general handyman services, pest control (in some states), snow removal, parking lot maintenance, air duct cleaning
o Company is minimum 3 years old
o Western US (west of Mississippi river)
o Lead has to be a decision maker
o Lead has to have expressed interest
• Letter of Intent for sourced business - $2,000 bonus
• Deal closed: $10,000
