As PGS continues to manage client operations, internal ventures, and technology-enabled services, we are looking for a Data & Insights Analyst who can turn business, operational, customer, and application data into useful insights that support better decisions.
Role Summary:
The Data & Insights Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data from client systems, internal platforms, databases, applications, and operational processes.
This role is not only about producing reports. The ideal candidate must be able to identify patterns, trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities in the data, then translate them into clear insights and practical recommendations for business leaders, delivery teams, clients, and product teams.
The role will support PGS clients, internal business units, SaaS/community applications, and leadership reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze data from databases, business applications, client systems, spreadsheets, and operational workflows.
Build recurring reports, dashboards, and performance summaries.
Identify trends, patterns, outliers, risks, and opportunities in business and customer data.
Translate raw data into clear insights that can support decision-making.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for leadership, clients, and internal teams.
Monitor key performance indicators across client accounts, business operations, and digital platforms.
Business Insights:
Provide recommendations based on data findings, not just descriptive reporting.
Help leadership understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what action should be considered.
Identify process bottlenecks, customer behaviour patterns, usage trends, productivity issues, and operational risks.
Support client reviews by preparing meaningful insights and business summaries.
Work with delivery, technology, marketing, and operations teams to improve performance using data.
Database & Application Data:
Query and extract data from relational databases and application backends.
Work with developers and technical teams to understand data structures, fields, and business logic.
Validate data quality, consistency, and completeness.
Help define reporting requirements for new applications, client systems, and internal platforms.
Support data tracking needs for community apps, SaaS platforms, and client-facing solutions.
Dashboards & Visualization:
Create clear dashboards and visual reports for business users.
Present data in a simple, practical, and executive-friendly way.
Use charts, tables, summaries, and narrative insights to explain findings.
Design dashboards that help teams quickly understand performance, trends, and priorities.
Data Governance & Quality:
Help establish basic data standards, definitions, and reporting consistency.
Identify data quality issues and work with teams to resolve them.
Document reporting logic, metrics definitions, data sources, and assumptions.
Support privacy, confidentiality, and secure handling of client and business data.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or a similar role.
Strong ability to analyze data and explain findings in simple business language.
Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data.
Experience with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, Metabase, or similar platforms.
Ability to clean, structure, and validate data from multiple sources.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to identify patterns, trends, exceptions, and business implications.
Experience working with operational, customer, product, marketing, or financial data.
Strong communication skills and ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SaaS, community platforms, client portals, or web/mobile applications.
Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar environments.
Experience supporting business owners, operations teams, or managed service environments.
Understanding of customer behaviour analytics, cohort analysis, retention, engagement, and usage metrics.
Experience with API data, CRM data, marketing analytics, or support ticket data.
Basic knowledge of Python, R, or data automation tools is an asset.
Experience creating executive dashboards and client-facing reports.
Understanding of AI-assisted reporting or data interpretation tools is an asset.
