Role Summary
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and help maintain and improve our data platform infrastructure. You will work under guidance to implement pipelines, monitor platform health, and assist in making our data reliable and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in testing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows.
Support the development and maintenance of the data platform (warehouses, lakes, and storage solutions).
Learn and apply best practices for data modeling, governance, and quality.
Collaborate with the team to understand business requirements.
Help monitor and troubleshoot platform performance and data pipeline issues.
Document workflows, procedures, and platform configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
Basic SQL skills; comfort querying data and performing transformations.
Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python preferred).
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, dbt)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Interest in building scalable, reliable data solutions.
Preferred Skills
Experience with version control (Git).
Knowledge of data visualization or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
You will be given a short assignment to assess your skills. We are looking for someone that will ask questions if they don’t understand something and can follow directions really well. We are also looking for someone who can collaborate with the team as well as working independently with little oversight.
KPIs
Achieve one significant project per month that improves the existing data infrastructure, including documentation, implementation, and maintenance scheduling.
