Cybersecurity Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions that protect our organization's infrastructure, applications, and data. This role goes beyond monitoring and analysis to actively build, configure, and remediate security systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Implementation

Design and implement security architectures for networks, systems, and applications
Build and deploy security tools, controls, and monitoring solutions
Configure and optimize firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and endpoint security
Develop and implement zero-trust security models and network segmentation

Security System Engineering

Engineer and maintain SIEM platforms, log aggregation, and security orchestration systems
Automate security processes and i ---------- response workflows
Integrate security tools with existing infrastructure and DevOps pipelines
Build custom security solutions and scripts to address specific organizational needs

Vulnerability Remediation & Hardening

Remediate identified vulnerabilities across systems and applications
Implement security hardening standards for operating systems, databases, and applications
Patch management and security update deployment
Configure secure authentication systems including multi-factor authentication and SSO

Infrastructure Security

Secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) including IAM, encryption, and monitoring
Implement and maintain PKI infrastructure and certificate management
Configure and manage VPNs, secure remote access solutions, and network access controls
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity security measures

DevSecOps Integration

Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
Implement security scanning and testing in development environments
Work with development teams to remediate application security issues
Build and maintain security testing frameworks and automated security validation

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field
3-6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or systems engineering
Proven experience implementing and maintaining security technologies

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems
Experience with cloud security implementations (AWS Security, Azure Security Center, GCP Security)
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible)
Experience with containerization security (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of encryption technologies and PKI implementation
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Sentinel)
Understanding of secure coding practices and application security testing

Security Frameworks & Compliance

Experience implementing controls for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, NIST frameworks
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR)
Experience with security assessments and audit remediation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms
Knowledge of threat hunting and digital forensics
Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions
Familiarity with security testing tools (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus)
Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps security practices

Certifications (Preferred)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Azure Security Engineer Associate
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or GIAC Certified I ---------- Handler (GCIH)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
