Creative Video Editor | Cinematic & Experimental Storytelling (Instagram & TikTok)

We are looking for a highly creative video editor who can help craft cinematic short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok, combining:

Slow, cinematic, storytelling edits

Deep, atmospheric, and meaningful visuals

Occasional use of quotes/dialogue (minimalist subtitles)

Mandala-inspired patterns & symmetry (subtle, not cliché)

Experimental visuals — abstract, visual poetry, archive-inspired

Smooth, emotional pacing with or without text

You will be working with footage I provide (city shots, nature, textures, events, archival, personal footage, etc.) and helping me build a living visual archive similar in spirit to art pieces like CDOSEA (The Critical Dictionary of Southeast Asia).

Responsibilities:
Edit short-form videos (15s–90s) for Instagram & TikTok

Deliver both text-integrated and text-free edits

Add light mandala-style compositions when needed (cinematic)

Collaborate on ideas, references, and vibe direction

Color grading for mood (cinematic, ambient, warm/cool tones depending on story)

Ideal Editor:
Loves cinematic editing

Has interest or knowledge of art, architecture, abstract visuals, or storytelling

Understands pacing, rhythm, and emotional editing

Knows CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent

Open to experimenting & helping evolve a visual style
