About us
We're Local Legends Marketing. We make local home-service businesses the most famous name in their town. We move fast, we hold a high bar, and we don't do mediocre. We're looking for one full-time Creative Social Media Manager who wants to be the best in the world at this, not someone clocking in for a paycheck.
Read this carefully. We want grit and character. We want someone hungry, coachable, and allergic to "good enough." If you settle for average, this is not your seat. If you want to be pushed to become the best version of yourself, keep reading.
Design comes first. You have to be a genuinely great designer. Original, bold, scroll-stopping work. If your designs don't make people stop and stare, this isn't the role for you. (Short-form video editing is NOT required. We already have someone for that.)
What you'll do
*Design original, fire creatives for our clients. This is the heart of the job.
*Run social across
*Write captions with strong hooks and clear calls to action
*Schedule, publish, and manage comments and DMs across platforms
*Engage in
*Track what's working and report weekly
You must already
*Be a strong designer (Canva is fine as a tool, but I want real creativity, not generic templates)
*Know Meta Business Suite (schedule, publish, reply to DMs and comments)
*Know your way around LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google Business Profile posting
*Write in clear, natural American English
Bonus (say so loudly if you have it)
Heads up: every applicant we consider does ONE paid design test. We pay you for it. It's how you prove you're the real deal.
To apply, do NOT just say "I'm interested"
Start your message with the word ROOFTOP so I know you read the whole post. Then answer:
*Link to your portfolio or 3 of your best original designs
*How many years have you been designing, and what tools do you use?
*Which tools do you use to schedule posts across
*Do you have
*Tell me about a time you refused to settle for "good enough." What did you do?
*Your internet speed (speedtest.net screenshot) and your backup internet plan
*Are you working any other jobs right now? How many hours a week?
If you don't start with ROOFTOP, I'll skip your application.
