JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team and lead accounting and financial operations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing U.S. client accounts, strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, and a proven track record of implementing robust internal controls and financial processes. This position will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize financial operations and drive organizational success.

**Job Responsibilities:**
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Manage U.S. client relationships and ensure accurate billing, reconciliation, and financial reporting aligned with client requirements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit procedures and financial reviews.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor negotiations and collections.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions and planning.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations, accounting standards (GAAP), and relevant financial reporting requirements for U.S. clients.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and improve accounting systems and processes for enhanced productivity and accuracy.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare tax documentation and coordinate with tax professionals for U.S. client obligations.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
- Proven experience managing U.S. client accounts and familiarity with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), with strong spreadsheet modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial forecasting abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. payroll and tax compliance requirements is a plus.
