JOB OVERVIEW

## About Boost

Boost is building an ecosystem of tools and training for independent restaurants, coffee shops, and foodservice operators.

Boost Back Office is already launched. It helps restaurant owners better understand and manage the operational numbers behind their business, including inventory, COGS, recipe costing, menu profitability, ordering, and related back-office workflows.

Boost Academy is launching soon. It will provide practical, framework-based training for restaurant owners and operators, helping them understand their numbers, improve profitability, and run stronger businesses. Academy will also serve as the top of the funnel for Boost Back Office and, eventually, Boost Front Office.

We are looking for a producer/editor/podcast manager who can help turn raw founder-led expertise into polished, useful, publishable content across Academy, social media, YouTube, podcast platforms, and other channels.

## Role Overview

We are hiring a Content Producer / Podcast Manager / Audio & Video Editor to edit and produce content for Boost Academy (course lessons), social media, YouTube, podcast-style content, interviews.

The founder will provide the core expertise, frameworks, interviews, screen recordings, and raw audio/video. Your job is to turn that raw material into professional, clear, engaging content that can be published across multiple platforms.

This role is part video editor, part content producer, part podcast manager, and part publishing operator. You do not need to own the whole growth strategy, but you do need to be organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to move content from raw recording to finished asset without needing to be micromanaged.

You will also help manage the podcast/interview workflow, including coordinating guests, preparing episodes for publishing, producing audio and video versions, and distributing public episodes to all relevant podcast and content platforms.

## What You’ll Own

### Video and Content Production

* Editing founder-led videos
* Editing interview-style content
* Editing Boost Academy course lessons
* Cutting long-form videos into short-form clips
* Adding captions, titles, hooks, callouts, graphics, zooms, and light motion where useful
* Cleaning up audio and improving pacing
* Producing videos for YouTube, social media, ads, and course platforms
* Formatting content for each platform
* Publishing or scheduling content, depending on workflow
* Managing content files, versions, exports, and asset organization
* Creating reusable editing templates and production systems
* Working with the Growth Lead to produce clips and assets based on current campaigns

### Podcast and Interview Management

* Helping identify and organize potential podcast/interview guests
* Managing guest outreach, scheduling, reminders, and follow-up
* Coordinating recording logistics
* Preparing guest information, episode notes, and production briefs
* Producing full podcast/interview episodes from raw recordings
* Creating audio-only podcast versions where appropriate
* Creating video podcast versions for Academy, YouTube, and/or other platforms
* Writing or preparing episode titles, descriptions, show notes, and timestamps
* Creating short promotional clips from each episode
* Preparing quote cards, episode graphics, or other promotional assets when needed
* Publishing public episodes to all relevant podcast platforms and directories
* Promoting episodes across YouTube, social channels, email, and other relevant channels
* Maintaining a publishing calendar for podcast and interview content
* Tracking episode status from idea to booked, recorded, edited, approved, published, and promoted

## Content Types You May Work On

* Academy course lessons
* Founder teaching videos
* Restaurant profitability breakdowns
* COGS/menu pricing videos
* Screen recordings and software walkthroughs
* Podcast-style interviews
* Guest interviews with restaurant owners, operators, vendors, experts, and other relevant people
* YouTube videos
* Audio podcast episodes
* Short-form social clips
* Ad creative variations
* Customer/community videos
* Internal training or onboarding videos

## You Are a Good Fit If You

* Can take raw footage and make it clear, polished, and engaging
* Understand pacing, hooks, captions, and retention
* Can edit educational content without making it feel boring
* Can create short-form clips from longer recordings
* Can work with screen recordings, talking-head videos, interviews, and course content
* Understand basic podcast production workflows
* Can manage guest scheduling and episode logistics without constant follow-up
* Are organized with files, exports, naming conventions, publishing calendars, and deadlines
* Can make judgment calls without needing every edit approved
* Are comfortable working with a founder who provides rough material and expects you to help shape it
* Can follow brand direction while also improving the output over time
* Are reliable, communicative, and consistent

## What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means Boost has a consistent content production machine.

Key outcomes may include:

* Course lessons edited and ready for Academy
* Weekly long-form content published
* Short-form clips produced from longer recordings
* Podcast/interview episodes booked, produced, published, and promoted
* Content delivered on schedule
* Editing quality improves over time
* Clear file organization and repeatable workflows
* Founder time spent recording and creating, not editing, publishing, chasing guests, or managing production details
* Growth Lead has enough creative assets to test ads and social angles

## Initial Priorities

In the first 30 days, I would expect you to help with:

* Creating a simple production workflow
* Creating editing/export templates for recurring content types
* Editing initial Academy lessons
* Editing one long-form founder-led or interview-style video
* Creating short-form clips from that content
* Helping define file organization and handoff process
* Setting up or improving the podcast/interview production workflow
* Creating a system for guest outreach, booking, episode tracking, and publishing
* Identifying any required tools, access, or missing assets

## Time and Work Expectations

I care more about effective output than inflated hours.

That said, any hours billed to Boost must be hours actively worked for Boost. I do not want overlapping billing, double-booked work, or a situation where someone says they are working eight hours for Boost while actually splitting that same block of time across multiple clients or jobs.

I would rather pay more for fewer honest, focused hours than pay for a larger block of time that is not actually dedicated to this business.

Please be clear about your real availability, preferred working arrangement, and how many focused hours per week you can reliably commit.

## To Apply

Please do not send a generic cover letter. Instead, answer the questions below.

1. Describe your biggest win when it comes to producing, editing, repurposing, or managing content. Include what the raw material looked like, what you created from it, and the result.

2. Describe your biggest win when it comes to podcast, interview, YouTube, or long-form content production. Include your role in booking, producing, publishing, or promoting the content.

3. Explain what you would do in week one to get started quickly with Boost. Be specific. I am looking for how you organize, prioritize, and create ---------- ntum.

4. Explain what resources you would need to do this job that you do not have yet. This should not be a wish list. I only want the true requirements: access, tools, files, brand assets, software, information, or people you would need to perform well.

5. Share examples of long-form videos, short-form clips, course lessons, podcast/interview edits, ads, or social content you have produced.

6. Pick one example from your portfolio and explain your role in it. What did you receive, what did you change, and what decisions did you make?

7. If you have managed a podcast or interview show before, explain the workflow you used for guest booking, recording, editing, publishing, and promotion.

8. What does your ideal editing/production workflow look like from raw recording to final published asset?

9. How do you organize files, revisions, exports, episode assets, guest information, and content versions?

10. How would you promote a public podcast/interview episode after it is published?

11. How many focused hours per week can you realistically commit to Boost, and how do you handle time tracking or work logs?

12. Are you currently working with other clients or employers? If so, explain how you avoid overlapping work time and ensure billable hours are dedicated to the client being billed.

13. What kinds of content are you best at producing, and what kinds are outside your strengths?

Applications that show strong examples, clear ownership, reliable production habits, and the ability to manage content from idea to publication will be prioritized.
