Overview
The SCN2A Foundation is seeking a creative and versatile Content Producer to develop engaging, high-impact content that supports our mission to accelerate research, build community, and advocate for families affected by SCN2A-related disorders.
This role will partner closely with our performance marketing manager, providing the content pipeline that fuels organic traffic growth, list building, and social media engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with Foundation goals.
Create and publish high-quality blog posts,
Produce visual assets (carousels, infographics, stories, reels, YouTube shorts).
Write SEO-optimized content for organic growth, including downloadable gated resources.
Repurpose long-form content (blogs, interviews, webinars) into shareable micro-content.
Collaborate with the marketing team to support fundraising campaigns, awareness initiatives, and event promotions.
Track and report on engagement metrics, adapting strategy for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital communications.
Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex science into clear, engaging content.
Skilled in graphic design and short-form video editing (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar).
Familiarity with SEO best practices and list-building tactics.
Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or biotech sectors a plus.
Comfortable using AI-assisted tools for drafting and creative support.
Hours & Compensation
10–15 hours per week (remote, flexible).
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
The hiring phase is as follows:
- We review submissions and ask questions relating to your experience
- If chosen to reach the next phase, we will ask you to submit a paid sample projects that you can reach more about below
- If we feel your sample project matches our expectations, we will ask for a formal interview via a video call
- If the video interview is successful, we'll create a
- If everything works well over the first 90 days, the project will likely be ongoing work for at least 6-12 months.

Sample Project (8 Hours Max)
Purpose: Assess ability to create multi-format content aligned with Foundation goals.
Deliverables:
Blog Post (1,000 words): Plain-language article explaining “The Importance of Early Diagnosis in Rare Genetic Epilepsies” (SEO-optimized, with headings, meta description, and call-to-action).
Social Media Assets:
One Instagram carousel (5 slides) repurposing key points.
One 30–45 second Reel/Short (script + edited clip).
