JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We’re a U.S.-based growth agency that works with remodelers, design-build firms, and home service businesses. Clear, honest, well-written content is a huge part of how we help our clients grow — and we’re looking for a dedicated content writer to support that effort.

This role is 100% focused on writing content across the company.
You will not be responsible for strategy, SEO planning, CRM work, or ad management.

Your job is simple (but important):

Take direction, outlines, and examples — and turn them into clear, professional written content.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Primary Responsibilities

Writing website content, including:

Home pages

Service pages

About pages

Supporting website sections

Writing blog posts as needed (educational, trust-building content)

Writing supporting content for different areas of the company, such as:

Client-facing explanations

Internal documents

Email
drafts

Sales or onboarding support content

Adapting content for different formats when needed:

Website ? blog

Blog ? email

Website ? ad copy (headlines, descriptions, hooks)

What This Role Is NOT

To be very clear, this role does not include:

Content strategy or topic planning

SEO keyword research or optimization ownership

Managing or publishing content

Performance tracking or analytics

GoHighLevel, CRM, or automation work

Client communication

You will receive direction, outlines, examples, or feedback — and your focus is on writing and refining content.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a good fit if you:

Are a strong English writer with excellent grammar and clarity

Can write in a professional, conversational tone

Are comfortable following direction and matching an existing brand voice

Can switch between formats (website, blog, ad copy) without overcomplicating things

Are organized, reliable, and open to feedback

Enjoy turning rough ideas into polished writing

Experience writing for:

Service businesses

Home services

Contractors

Agencies

…is a big plus, but not required if you’re a strong writer and quick learner.

Tools You’ll Use

Google Docs

Slack (for communication)

Occasional Loom videos or written outlines for direction

Hours & Compensation

Part-time: 10–20 hours per week

Pay range: $4–$7 USD/hour (based on experience and writing quality)

Opportunity for increased hours and pay as the role grows

How Success Is Measured

Quality and clarity of writing

Ability to follow direction and feedback

Consistency and reliability

Reducing the amount of editing needed over time

Application Instructions (Important)

To apply, please include:

A short introduction about yourself

2–3 writing samples (any format is fine)

A brief answer to this question:

“What’s your process for turning rough notes or ideas into polished content?”

Applications without writing samples will not be considered.

Why This Role Exists

We’re building a company where content:

Educates

Builds trust

Supports sales

Makes complex ideas easier to understand

If you enjoy writing, refining, and improving content — and want steady, long-term work with clear expectations — this role is a great fit.
