JOB OVERVIEW

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Core Construction Accounting
*Maintain accurate job cost accounting across all active projects
*Prepare and manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, including revenue recognition and cost tracking
*Track retainage, committed costs, and budget vs. actual performance
*Ensure alignment between Procore (or PM systems) and Sage 300
*Support job “buyout” tracking and subcontractor financial coordination

2. Cash Flow & Financial Visibility (CRITICAL FOCUS)
*Develop and maintain cash flow projections at both company and project levels
*Provide leadership with clear, timely insight into cash position and future needs
*Assist in identifying risks related to margin erosion, cost overruns, or delayed collections
*Partner with leadership and fractional CFO/Controller to improve financial forecasting
*This directly addresses current gaps where high-level financial oversight and cash flow clarity are needed.

3. Accounts Payable & Subcontractor Management
*Manage AP workflows including vendor invoices, approvals, and payments
*Oversee subcontractor compliance (lien waivers, insurance, documentation)
*Coordinate payments tied to project funding and draw schedules
*Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams

4. Month-End Close & Reporting
*Execute month-end close processes, including:
**Journal entries
**Bank and credit card reconciliations
**Job cost reconciliation
*Prepare and deliver:
**WIP reports
**Cash flow reports
**AP/AR aging
**Job profitability summaries
*Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable for leadership

5. Systems & Process Improvement
*Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in:
**Accounting workflows
**Data accuracy between systems (Sage, Procore, etc.)
*Help establish repeatable processes and reporting frameworks
*Support implementation of automation and AI tools where applicable
*Aligns with company interest in improving systems and integrating AI into operations.

6. Collaboration with Operations & Leadership
*Act as a financial partner to:
**Operations (project execution, buyouts, cost control)
**Estimating (historical cost data, accuracy)
*Support leadership in protecting margins and making informed decisions
*Participate in regular reporting cadence (weekly/monthly financial updates)

7. Team Support & Continuity
*Provide support and backup for existing accounting personnel
*Help document processes to reduce dependency on any single tea ---------- mber
*Assist in onboarding and training additional accounting support (including offshore resources if applicable)
*Important due to current reliance on key personnel and need for redundancy.

SUCCESS METRICS (KPIs)
*Accuracy and timeliness of WIP reporting
*Visibility and reliability of cash flow forecasts
*Reduction in accounting-related project issues (billing, cost tracking, etc.)
*Improved alignment between accounting and operations
*Consistency in monthly close timelines
*Reduction in leadership intervention needed for financial clarity

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
*Active CPA license preferred.
*Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
*Expertise in public accounting, specifically serving construction clients and managing multiple client accounts.
*Strong proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300, TimberScan) is required. Experience with project management tools such as Procore is highly preferred
*Deep understanding of construction accounting standards, including WIP reporting, retainage, and cost allocation.
*Passion for delivering exceptional client service and fostering lasting client relationships.
*Excellent organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple client priorities.
*Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
*Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Tech Requirements:
*Computer - at least i5 or equivalent with 8gb RAM
*Internet Speed - At least 50 MBPS Download speed

Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM CDT - Monday to Friday 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM PHT
Salary Range: Php 40,000 - Php 55,000 monthly, Depending on experience
