JOB OVERVIEW

The Commercial Designer plays a key role in accelerating and improving the commercial solar design process. This position is responsible for conducting early-stage feasibility checks and producing high-quality preliminary design sets to ensure viable leads move efficiently through the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage and prioritize new commercial leads in Upgrade to see actual info.
-Conduct feasibility reviews, ensuring all necessary data (e.g., utility information, site details) is complete.
-Analyze utility bills and extract usage data for system load profiling.
-Develop preliminary solar system layouts using Helioscope, Aurora, and Solesca with performance estimates.
-Perform financial modeling in Energy Toolbase to project savings.
-Communicate with sales reps via Gmail Chat for missing lead details.
-Organize and upload finalized design packages for handoff to engineering teams.

Qualifications & Skills:
-Experience with Aurora Solar, Helioscope, Energy Toolbase, or Solesca.
-Ability to read and interpret utility bills.
-Strong attention to detail and data management skills.
-Familiarity with Upgrade to see actual info for project tracking.
-Basic understanding of solar system design and load analysis.
-Previous commercial solar experience preferred.

-Energy Toolbase – Financial modeling & savings calculations
Upgrade to see actual info – Lead intake tracking
-Gmail Chat – Team communication
