JOB OVERVIEW

*English fluency is non-negotiable*
This is a client-facing role. You will communicate directly with US-based excavation and civil contractors daily. Excellent written and spoken English is required — clear, professional, and confident communication is essential to success in this position.

You will build complete estimates across the following disciplines:
-Earthwork & Grading
-Asphalt Paving
-Concrete Flatwork & Curb
-Demolition
-Erosion Control
-Sanitary Sewer
-Stormwater / Drainage
-Domestic Water

Responsibilities:
-Build complete quantity takeoffs and bid estimates for all civil sitework disciplines listed above
-Read, interpret, and apply geotechnical reports, civil plan sets, and project specifications to inform estimate assumptions
-Source and coordinate material quotes from suppliers on behalf of clients
-Produce professional, client-ready bid proposals formatted for general contractor submission
-Communicate directly with clients throughout the estimating process to clarify scope, answer questions, and ensure accuracy
-Manage your own bid schedule to meet firm 48-hour delivery commitments before client due dates
-Apply value engineering principles to identify cost-saving alternatives and communicate those options clearly to clients
-Coordinate with the QA/QC review team before final deliverable submission
-Flag scope gaps, plan conflicts, or missing information proactively and in a timely manner
-Maintain organized digital files for all active and completed bid packages
-Assist in developing and refining internal estimating standards and unit cost databases

Requirements:
-Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on field experience in excavation, grading, or civil sitework construction — you must understand how the work is actually built
-Demonstrated experience estimating large-scale excavation and earthwork projects (mass grading, cut/fill, import/export, dewatering)
-Experience with commercial site development (retail, industrial, office, mixed-use)
-Experience with residential land development (subdivision grading, utilities, infrastructure)
-Ability to read and interpret full civil plan sets including grading plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and civil details
-Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, AGTEK, Earthworks, or equivalent quantity takeoff platforms)
-Strong working knowledge of unit costs, production rates, crew compositions, and equipment requirements for earthwork and site utilities
-Experience reading and applying geotechnical reports to estimate compaction requirements, subgrade treatment, and material handling
-Excellent written and spoken English — must be capable of professional, client-facing communication without assistance
-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active bids simultaneously under deadline pressure
-High attention to detail with a zero-error mindset on quantities, arithmetic, and scope coverage

Preferred qualifications:
-Prior experience in an outsourced or multi-client estimating role
-Familiarity with DOT pay item structures and public works bid formatting
-Experience with municipal utility projects (sewer, water, stormwater infrastructure)
-Comfortable working independently and asynchronously across US time zones
-Background in project management or field supervision (superintendent, foreman, or PM level)

How to apply:
Submit your resume along with a brief cover letter describing your field experience, the types of projects you have estimated, and your English communication background. Applicants who do not demonstrate relevant earthwork or civil estimating experience will not be considered. A skills assessment will be part of the hiring process.
