Cinematic Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve, Color Grading, Kinetic Typography)

About this work
We make short videos for social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and X). The footage is already filmed on a professional cinema camera. Your job is to turn the raw footage into finished, polished videos. We make many videos every week, so this is steady, repeat work for the right person.
What you will do

Edit raw footage into short videos (15 seconds to 3 minutes).
Color grade footage so it looks cinematic. Skin tones must look natural. Color must stay consistent across all clips in a video.
Add smooth kinetic typography (animated text that moves with clean timing).
Create simple graphics when needed (title cards, lower thirds, thumbnails).
Use AI tools (like Higgsfield AI) to create or improve visual assets.
Cut the video to the rhythm of the music and the speaking. Good pacing matters.
Deliver final videos ready to post.

Tools you must know

DaVinci Resolve (Studio version). This is the main editing software. You must be strong here.
Color grading inside DaVinci Resolve. You should know color wheels, nodes, scopes, and power windows.
Motion graphics and kinetic typography. DaVinci Fusion or similar.
Higgsfield AI, or other AI design and video tools.
Basic graphic design for title cards and thumbnails.

What makes a great fit

You have a strong eye for a cinematic look and feel.
Your color grades look professional and natural, not over-saturated.
Your text animations are smooth, with clean easing and good timing.
You can follow a brand style (exact fonts and exact colors) without changing it.
You work fast and can handle many videos per week.

Nice to have

Experience editing short-form content for social media.
Experience with sound design and audio cleanup.
Experience with Sony cinema camera footage (FX3) and Log or Raw files.

Send a link to your portfolio, or 2 to 3 sample videos. Include at least one example that shows color grading and one that shows animated text.
For each sample, tell me which tools you used.

Applications that do not start with the word CINEMA will not be reviewed.

SHORT TRIAL TASK
If your samples look strong, I will invite you to a short trial.
- I will send you a small pack of raw footage (a download link).
- You will create one short video, about 15 seconds long.
- It must show three things: a cinematic edit, a clean color grade, and one ---------- nt of kinetic typography.
- This is a quick unpaid trial so I can see your skill on my real footage.
- If it goes well, we begin paid, ongoing work right away.
